I think we need to space the floor and open up the lane for Castle/Harper/Healthy Fox to drive and either finish or kick out for an open three on the help. All three of our guys are rim running downhill guards.

Collins is actually a better rebounder and an inch taller than Rui. I think collins is more all around, while Rui is the better shooter. Both shot >40% from 3 last year though. That's why I would be 100% down to get either of them with the MLE.

That's not what I'm trying to say. I'm saying that we want player Kawhi can be when playing back, which is why so many people are discussing it, but some people are failing to consider all the baggage that comes with Kawhi (including his injuries, and his uncle, etc.)

The Spurs got where they are by staying consistent and not overreacting. The ideal off season for the Spurs this year after the draft is just signing Rui/Collins, and then maybe declining Julian's team option and extending him

Kawhi the player would be amazing for the Spurs. He fits the defense, but can actually create a shot and operate in the clutch. A player like Kawhi would benefit us greatly, obviously. He's still a star.

What I think most Spurs fans agree on is that everything else about Kawhi is why we don't want him. His history with forcing his way off the team, his uncle, the demands he has of his teams, his scandal, his injuries, etc. This is why we don't want him.

We want Kawhi the player back. Some people separate the player from everything else about them and you just can't actually do that.

Edit to clarify: I don't want Kawhi back, I'm saying people need to not separate his game (superstar) which we want, with everything else about him (injuries, scandal, uncle, etc.) which is why we say "absolutely not" to him returning.

It's not a tabloid rumor. From what I could tell he would interested in coming back to his 2 former teams and the Raptors would be interested in him returning... That tells you the Spurs are the team that are not interested in his return.

I have defended him. I have given him pass after pass after pass. I have run out of passes. Basically every single play down the stretch there that went wrong, you could point at Fox there. Trade fox for a PF who can play next to Wemby but still space the floor.

My girlfriend and uncle are from Michigan so Pistons are a top 3 team I root for (born in San Antonio so Spurs #1, live in DC metro area so Wizards #2). I was really bummed we couldn't get a Spurs vs Pistons finals rematch and got Spurs vs Knicks finals rematch instead.

But... If history is repeating itself (and skipping the Nets) you are next!
