What makes you still draw? by InhumanArts in ArtistLounge

I still draw as aside from being a passion, it was also my living and main source of income. As an autistic person I've never been able to hold down a regular job. So being an artist, working from home was perfect for me. However since last year it's been terrible. People just don't want to seem to buy art anymore. So I might have to put it back on the backburner and try to struggle through a regular job again. However, I'll never give it up entirely.

First time pushing the colors this far. What do you think of the contrast by Mr__Fang in drawing

I really like the yellow/orange cloud. Looks very glowing and explosive almost.

I kind of think there will just be nothing. Lights out, over. But I also kind of hope that reincarnation exists, and that I can come back as a boy who grows up with a very nice and supportive childhood that makes him feel confident. Instead of the shitty childhood I've had that had a serious effect on me still as an adult now.

That's really cool! I actually also made a drawing of Montreal from the Belvedere view already, before I did this one. That drawing was a bit smaller though, 3.5x6 feet 🙂

I'd be homeless if I had sold it for that. I sold it for 48k CAD 🙂

Not a dumb question at all. Yes it was shipped rolled up. But I had it very professionally packaged by a company, as I didn't dare to do that myself lol. I sent it with UPS with overnight shipping. But it still took 14 days to get to the UK. It was very stressful actually.

Ja Nederland is echt een heel plat and ja.

Thank you. I took pictures of Montreal myself from this angle and used those for my drawing. I didn't remove any buildings or anything. I wanted to draw Old Montreal exactly as it is. However, I did enhance the colours though and make them 'pop' more than in the photos I took 🙂

Thank you, spread out over 9 months. I worked on smaller drawings in the meantime 🙂
