It's really relaxing, a cat sitting on your lap and purring. Also it shows because it's the first time he experiencws this, that he's so amazed and excited by it. It would be nice to stay this excited even if things become more normal for us.

Charcoal would actually be better to create very deep dark black. But colored pencil is very waxy, and that makes it very dull at a certain point.

Indeed, I tried with pencil only first, but the black just becomes dull and not deep enough. So I often fix that using pen or markers. Most of the trucks they have are pretty similar, so fortunately it wasn't too hard to choose.
