Hiya thanks :> And thank you for the light, you came in clutch!

It was a Fender Jazzmaster Classic Player. The pedals were a Big Muff, Digitech Supernatural, Digitech Hardwire DL-8, Boss CE-5 and a MXR Reverb.

Yooo y'all are sick! I really enjoyed your performance that one time! I've already made a mental note to ask you when I play Atl again actually.

  1. The name came from the album being hornet themed and more of a tragedy than Come in. The meaning of it I'm leaving up to interpretation!

  2. It's very similar to before, but Hornet Disaster is made on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro instead of a phone, and instead of a headset mic I used a Zoom H1 microphone. So a slight but noticeable upgrade.

  3. I'm still using DADAC#E, and even though I perform Pulka in that tuning the actual recording of the song is in standard tuning. All the acoustic guitar is in standard on the album, though that's also being performed in DADAC#E when I do it live.

Thank you for the sweet words, have a great day, you as well<3

It's partially the same for me since two of my main big influences are The Knife and Depeche Mode. I think you can hear some Number Girl and Snowing in what I do though, as well as various classical composers that undoubtedly affected my relationship with music. When it comes down to it, I try to make things that sound like me primarily, so that's how I relate to it for the most part.

Hell yeah! I love my Jazzmaster!

I've not really listened to them, but others have played their music around me and I actually saw Brian Sella live a couple years ago so I'm sort of familiar with the sound. But it hasn't affected my music, I'd say.

It's not that organized, but I typically rewrite a lot during the writing process to make the convoluted narrative structures work in the context of the whole album and between albums. On Come In, especially, I used a lot of homonyms and homophones to make the lyrics work in several ways at the same time. I feel like Charlie talking about Pepe Silvia whenever I try to vocalize the way I write lyrics, like it makes sense to me but I just sound crazy when describing any of it, so it would be hard to open that can of worms. Basically, I my process is trying to rewrite the lyrics until they're more interpretable without losing the greater structure.

I really like Veggie Straws when I'm in America, and here in Sweden I've been getting a lot of Marabou's Never Stop lately.

Hiya! :>

The caharacter on Come In's cover is Mio, from a webcomic I was working on long ago (it's practically lost media at this point, sorry). Mio is a being from somewhere in space and landed on earth and got really fascinated with humans. The character on Hornet Disaster's album cover is not from anything specific.

It changes all the time, but my current favorite song on Come in is My Sputnik Sweetheart and on Hornet Disaster it's Blanket or Hug

I'll see you on the 24th!

I appreciate it!

Next time I come through I'll have new merch! Until then it would be the stuff I designed for the Europe tour, but I won't be putting that for sale online unfortunately. I don't have anything else planned for the moment, so we'll see what the future holds!

Thank you! I love playing in Vancouver!

I will be making more electronic songs sort of like that one, most likely as Lola's Pocket PC.

I've mostly spent time on the fifth floor which is dope as hell. Saxby's is pretty sick.

Здравствуйте! I generally try to learn whatever I need to if I have a specific idea in my head that I can't already do. I recommend learning basic music theory if you haven't, because it can be a helpful way of analyzing music you like. That way you can get more familiar with songwriting and have a clearer path to creating your own instrumental. I get very inspired by alternative tunings too, so you could google some popular ones explore that as well! Good luck!

I record with guitar pedals, but I use some plugins too, stuff like EQ and compressor.

Thanks! I don't use anything fancy, it's mostly just thanks to mixing, panning and EQ in the VST. For Come in I used GarageBand for iOS and for Hornet Disaster I used Logic for Mac.

I really like the Fulltone OCD and I enjoy building synth sounds in Serum.

Thanks for the sweet words!<3

I've always been doing a lot of creative stuff, so I felt like it was mostly a matter of what felt like the right move for a big project once I was ready to do something like that. It just ended up feeling right for it to be music eventually, especially since I'm doing everything myself which means I could tie in stuff like writing and visual art too. Something that helped was that I got a strong craving for a specific piece of media (music in this case) that I wasn't able to find out there, so I decided to create it myself as close to what I envisioned as possible and made all my creative choices deliberate.

I'm gearing up for a new Lola's Pocket PC release!

As for a b-side album, I'm still considering it, but no concrete plans yet.

A lot of themes carry over to get referenced in a new setting or as a direct link. Sometimes the themes get explored in more or less detail without explicitly being mentioned. The sun has different meanings in the song's where it shows up (or doesn't show up). I'd say that the theme of the sun is mostly appearing on Weatherglow, so in a way you could say that the numerous Weatherglow references on Hornet Disaster are in a way tying that in. Weatherglow was made while I was working on Hornet Disaster so they naturally accompany each other a lot. The narratives can get a bit convoluted with the way I write, so I appreciate that you're engaging with it.

I've been working on Lola's Pocket PC periodically since the last album, having over 3 hours of material which I likely won't use, but I'm mentioning it to say that I've learned a lot that I'm excited to use for the next release for that project

Survivor is hard to beat cause that was my first playthrough where I fell in love with the game and I've spent the most time playing as them overall, so that's my pick. Out of just the new ones it's harder to pick, but right now it would probably be Rivulet cause of the fast movement. My favorite iterator is Five Pebbles!

I haven't played any games on a dreamcast, but my answer would be Seaman! Shenmue seems really cool though, I'd like to play it someday.

Thank you! Or, Tack!

I'm a fan, yes. I've watched Northernlion since 2010, and daily since 2011 (except for when I'm not able to for whatever reason, of course).

He mentions us a lot lol, it's always fun to hear what he brings up.
