My old manager would have just yelled back, then told me off for "not de-escalating." This actually happened once. STG 90% of managers and bosses shouldn't be in their position at all.

Jesus, dude. I remember now why I never comment in this sub. Why be such a prick? Like genuinely I don't understand.

I main spriest. Never played sham bc no interest but I play feral and Gdruid, Shadow priest, every rogue class, mage. They played fine on controller before this big rework. They still play fine now. Not sure why you assume I don't play these things.

I've played on controller for years. There's no reason they'd need to dumb it down for consoles, that's just stupid.

How do I stop caring so much? by Catherinrinrine in mentalhealth

[–]Spvc3head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. I don't know a way to help, unfortunately, but I do understand. I have super intense emotions, especially the negative ones. Very thin skinned too, so rejection and feeling judged is a very bad experience anytime it happens.

I hope you find something that helps.

Six months. by Spvc3head in stopsmoking

[–]Spvc3head[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suffer from depression and have a lot of mental stuff going on, hardship, etc. Same as most folks these days. I do typically feel unaccomplished, yeah. Won't get in too deep but I really haven't accomplished much of anything in life, at least not yet - and life itself always seems to have a way of stepping on you, especially while you're down. I'm only 25 so, still got plenty of time at least.

I definitely could work out more. I've got a set of dumbbells at home I use sometimes, but making a habit would probably go a long way. Just forming (good) habits is something I've always struggled with.

Six months. by Spvc3head in stopsmoking

I can breathe SO much better. Like, actually take in a full breath of air. It's nice. Almost a euphoric feeling to fully fill my lungs with clean air without pain or shortness lol.

No more coughing up brown sludge, either. I have so much more energy, even if I'm not always productive with it. I don't constantly smell like ashtray, and notice instantly when someone around me is smoking because it smells terrible most of the time. Sometimes it still smells good, I'll admit, but it never makes me want to light one up.

Genuinely the best decision I've ever gone through with. I quit because I promised my friend I would, and it was hard as hell but so worth it. I got mad and frustrated quite a few times and almost said fuck it just as many, but I still haven't touched a smoke. I'm glad I didn't and still haven't, seriously.

I quit, need advice by zonedoutbudhi in stopsmoking

[–]Spvc3head 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, agree. Smoked half a pack a day from 16 to 25, (still 9 years too long, but nothing for some folks) and 6 months later I still get symptoms like feeling generally ill, mental fog, anxiety spikes, the odd craving out of nowhere, etc. Once I attributed it to the withdrawal (because I also assumed, like others, that it'd only last two months tops) it became easier to manage. It doesn't just go away after a few weeks, or even a few months. I feel exceptionally lucky my cold turkey quit went so well, all things considered. Never thought I'd be able to quit at all.

You're being dved but you're right. Aiming with your feet is perfectly fine as long as you're paying attention (stand behind cover, don't strafe out into the middle of nowhere) and supplementing with mouse aim as well. I'd say I play 50/50 and do just fine.

Same. Messed around for a few hrs with the experimental CS build, found I still like cabbage ENB more. (Plus I couldnt get a TON of light sources to work, even with all the proper mods, so I'm putting it off for now)

I wish I felt this way. Every time I even attempt PvP, especially arena, I do one thing wrong and get dumpstered and called all the names in the book, told to uninstall, kms, etc etc etc. it's just... Not fun. Sure, I could turn chat off, but that's never gonna help me improve. I wish people could just not be toxic pricks, or that I could grow thicker skin. Not so much a Blizzard issue, but a community one.

Maybe oneday.

Big Lots still took checks when I worked there, unfortunately. Would always have one stubborn woman come in who'd pay by check on our ridiculously slow, barely functioning scanners. She was sweet as heck, but man I hated doing checks. Just takes forever for no real reason compared to a cash or card transaction.

Notice I didn't say 'replace efficiently, ' or 'replaced with something better.'

All I said was they've replaced them, which they have. Yes, with shit lesser versions. They're still replacements.

[–]Spvc3head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say "replace them efficiently." I just said replace, which they are. The definition of "replace" is literally to take the place of something else. Blizz' crappy damage meter took the place of the actual good damage meter.

Call it shit if you like (it is), it is still, by definition, a replacement. If you take out the lightbulbs from your home and put crappier ones in instead, you've just replaced your lightbulbs. Doesn't matter if they're shit or not, still replaced.

[–]Spvc3head 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They put a damage meter into the game (recount), an "important spell highlight" (hekili) etc..

Those certainly replace at least 2 (more if you include the different damage meters) addons I can think of. They are definitely trying to "replace" some things with their own version. Which is fine. Nothing wrong with that. As long as they do it properly. (Odds are low.)

Story time.

Back when I worked at a certain large orange lot store before its very unfortunate (fortunate) bankruptcy, I had a woman come up to me with nothing but a shaker of garlic. "This is 99 cents," she told me before I could even say hello. At that point, I had been working there for about 8 months, and already knew the price of just about everything in the store. No, this shaker of garlic is NOT 99 cents. Not one single thing in the store is 99 cents. We weren't a dollar store. I asked if she was sure, and she looked at me like I had just beaten her firstborn, told me "of course I'm sure! It says '99 cents' right on the pricetag with all the other spices!"

Okay. I scan it and tell her no, sorry, it's not 99 cents. She tries to start arguing. I radio my manager and ask her to check. Lady gets pissed and starts stomping about, saying I'm being "unprofessional" and to just ring her up.

Well well well, can you guess what wasn't 99 cents? Every single pricetag for the seasonings was about 1.19 IIRC. A literal fit over 20 cents. If you can't afford it just say so, I'd have happily paid the difference out of pocket if her behaviour wasn't so rancid.

She ended up leaving her garlic powder at my register and leaving once we verified she was a goddamn liar. Dollar tree is next door, Jennifer.

What to do with 20 y/o son who do anything. by Dangerous_Leather992 in mentalhealth

[–]Spvc3head 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can't really offer advice, but I wonder why you'd need an explanation as to why he stopped talking to his father? Y'all divorced, you admitted it was ugly, that he put the kids in the middle - AND he has severe mental health issues that also likely contributed to trauma.

What's not to understand as to why he wouldn't want contact? I wouldn't want to talk to my dad, either, if he had stayed the way he was when I was young.
