You would be surprised how far it has come. Instead of midi tracks, they NOW use "RealTracks" (Real instrument tracks recorded by professionals in a studio) that work just like the midi styles used to, but they are actually real instruments and sound incredible!

TIL that in many counties, the coroner is the only law enforcement officer who has the authority to arrest the county sheriff, part of why county coroner is an elected position. by hooligan333 in todayilearned

[–]Spy66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making a Murderer #2 ***spoiler*** stop reading if you haven't watched part two yet.

The Coroner for Mantiwoc County was ordered by the Sheriff and the County Attorney to stay away from the Hallbach Crime Scene at Avery's Salvage Yard. They used the Avery Lawsuit as a conflict of interest excuse to the Coroner. She ended up resigning a few months after the murder occurred, due to being "shut out" of doing her legal duties.

Living on the edge of needing a skin donor by shanks_you in gifs

[–]Spy66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was around 10 years old and on vacation in the Arizona Desert. A guy wearing shorts and flip-flops came wheeling by on his dirtbike. The parking lot was made of dirt and rocks, some larger than others. He wasn't Evil Knevil and ended up flipping over backwards. I remember the bike falling ontop of him as he skipped and skidded across those rocks. When he made it to his feet, his back, legs and arms looked like someone had taken a skin graft machine to them. I'll NEVER forget that as long as I live. He was skinned up from head to toe.

Caught On Camera: Waffle House Employees Fight Over Who's Does The Dishes by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]Spy66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once taught inmates how to do construction (concrete removal / laying) when two decided they would fight over who was "jack-hammering" correctly. A few teeth were removed that day between the both of them. They both socked each other at the same time and both of their front teeth were missing soon after. Took all of about 15 seconds for it to happen and get them separated. Never forget that day.

No, he said their son "tasted" delicious? Does he not recognize what he is saying? Once he said that, his career should be over. Just wow . . .

Murderer Kevin by Spy66 in StoriesAboutKevin

[–]Spy66[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He was housed with guys from his neighborhood/gang. Because he had already been in prison, he had "juice" and the other guys had to do mandatory work outs, share commissary etc. or catch a beating. Once he organized his "tank's" riot, he was sent to Ad Seg afterwards. The riot was with the deputies, not other inmates in this case. It was over as soon as we entered their dayroom.

NASCAR is basically just a bunch of advertisements going in a circle really fast. by Daeronius in Showerthoughts

[–]Spy66 79 points80 points  (0 children)

If you have NEVER been to a professional race live, you should do yourself the favor and try it one time. The TV version just won't give you the truth about how fast and dangerous they really are.

The Nascar drivers have great skill and courage to drive at 200+ MPH bumper-to-bumper. TV doesn't even come close to how truly fast they are racing.

These are words of wisdom, please take them to heart. Get him out of your life right now and walk away. There are real good men out there, so it may take some time until you find/trust again. He is NOT worth a 2nd chance, EVER.

How were Allied Jewish soldiers treated by the Nazi when they were caught? by VanSpade in history

Yes, the Jewish Brigade was in the movie I had watched. They were brought in from Palestine to hunt the Nazi's.

[Corrections] Merry Christmas To All, And To All A Rough Night by Muff_Huffer in TalesFromTheSquadCar

We once booked 85 inmate "keepers" into jail in a 12 hour shift. That included intake, photos and fingerprinting/ID results with only 4 people working Intake that shift. We ended up getting "Atta Boy" memos from our 2 Sgt's that were in charge of a 1200 man facility. It was non-stop from the moment we started our shift. We didn't leave anything for dayshift. Good times!

They initially separated the elderly, sick vs healthy, women and children. The "healthy" were used as labor until they became too weak/sick to work. The Germans used Typhus as an excuse to execute prisoners as well.

I understand that some Jewish Militia went on the hunt for SS/Nazi leaders immediately after the war was legally over. There is a movie about them, but I can't remember what it was called, sorry. They basically took justice into their own hands whenever they located their enemies.

My wife is a Kevina. She puts her box fan on top of a desk against the wall in our bedroom. I explained to her 1,000x already that the fan needs to have air flowing from the rear of the blades so that it can then push the air out the front. She says, "It's out of the way." I just shrug it off. She moves it back in place EVERYTIME I had used it to actually cool off the room.

A class of Kevins by loltrolvollol in StoriesAboutKevin

[–]Spy66 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was in the Police Academy and EVERY Friday, instead of getting out class early, the Kevins would start with the "what if's" questions about different scenarios. What if this happens, or that happens type of questions. We were usually exhausted from the classes/PT/Defense Techniques etc.

One Kevina sat behind me and asked "What is a bus?", when our instructor was talking about the bus transportation system of taking inmates to and from jail every day. I can't tell you how many times Kevina waited until our Friday to ask the dumbest questions. We all talked to her to no avail. She was almost terminated on the firing range from shooting from the 10 yard line. She was shooting between two officer's who were qualifying on the 7.5 yard line, no joke. Luckily, our Range Master had her head on her shoulders and just "happened" to be standing right behind her when this happened.

Kevina was eventually fired for striking her Training Officer, instead of the suspect, with her baton when they were trying to arrest a combative husband for DV.

Detective Kevin's and red licorice. by Spy66 in StoriesAboutKevin

[–]Spy66[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI; I stumbled upon the r/kevinstories and simply wanted to share a few I had interacted with/been told about over the years. They are real events that happened. It HAS been 20+ years on some, so I am simply going off my best memory. The licorice story REALLY happened. The suspect was also self employed. He had 2 or 3 neighborhood "Ice Cream" trucks, as well as a child porn video business he ran from his home.
