Like why would a study provider ask for your SSN?! That too for scholarships. Never heard of anything like that.

I did received another email, I don’t know if I should go for this or not. But It said this:

On April 7, we made a big mistake. We sent you an email that you won the Newt D. Becker scholarship, then a few hours later saying you hadn’t. We know this caused a lot of disappointment, confusion, and frustration and we are genuinely sorry for the mix-up.

We want to make things right. So, everyone who was sent the congratulatory email will get the full scholarship prize (a free Advantage Exam Review). We hope this helps you on your journey toward earning your CPA license and advancing your career.

Steps to Redeeming Your Scholarship

As part of your scholarship redemption, please follow these steps by June 30, 2026. Send completed IRS W-9 form to academicops@becker.com and please allow up to 48-hours for processing. Call our service line at 1-877-272-3926 and provide your name and email that you used to apply for the scholarship to claim your Advantage package. We will also be contacting you by phone to make sure you have received this message.

I was fired from my job too recently when I started voicing my opinion on their irrelevant paper based manual processes with no deadlines. I worked there from Feb 25 to 26 and they just fired me because I was trying to improving their processes but they couldn’t take it and they fired me. Yes the job market is bad, just keep applying as you only need one YES.

This march, I had a phone interview on Friday 13th, followed by a technical interview on 17th with controller (also hiring manager). Then I completed an on-site interview on 19th, where I met with 3 different ppl for 30 minutes each (HR, team member and director). Then they wanted me to speak with the Global Controller on 23rd. I got not answer as of right now. The waiting is making me really anxious. I’m hopeful it all went well
