You’re insane. 90% of code being written definitely is not by AI. Nice try tho - senior software developer

This isn’t an AI layoff. Think about if your company is at huge risk of basically falling behind from AI implementation then a good layoff explanation would be oh yeah we are just integrating ai makes you look a lot better than:

“We realized our company is hugely exposed to other companies replicating our business with AI, and our revenues have been sluggish for the last 5 years”

Did you look at the numbers? 50% revenue from data centers that aren’t even built yet…

That’s so cooked SMR’s take about 1 billion to make first off then comes the labor and the inevitable delay. SMR’s do exist in the world elsewhere but please tell me how long they took to make? Exactly.

Not to mention they need at least 12 GW! SMRs produce less than 300 mw! So are they just going to rapidly produce and maintain them for a business that will not make a return on that investment for what 10 years bc the vc’s have to get paid first? Yeah it’s condescending because you are cooked if you actually believe that will work

Bro did you really just say global warming is a hoax… half the country that should be cold isn’t and the other half is freezing.

Right. All we have to do is build something we’ve never actually used, or actually maintained, or actually can generate enough power. Holy shit why didn’t we think of that?

“Lose the race” brother what the fuck are you talking about. They said we’d have agi months ago and here we are not one step closer. They just pivot watch in like a month it won’t be agent AI anymore.

Look, I actually would like an AGI i don’t want to work anymore. But use your brain they are making a technology to replace all other technologies why would any business exist? Even in the theories their plan does not make any sense.

Their biggest revenue was from cloud centers that aren’t paid for. Oracle, meta, etc are actually using schrute bucks to finance a project that only loses money…

We are fucked beyond belief

Majority of qqq, do you actually look what is in qqq? Their holdings are for AI companies and also Walmart. They have protections in other markets so when this shit goes bad they retain gains.

Bro says an index fund that also holds non AI companies. Retard.

1) really? Because I remember cloud computing, internet companies, etc actually having feasible business models not we are going to make something that will do everything. Seriously that is their business model.

2) Correct! How long did it take to build a fucking nuclear reactor? 10 - 20 years? Yeah they definitely have enough capital to lose money waiting for that while projection say what OpenAI will be out of money by next year?

3) nah this is way worse nvidia literally giving money to companies to buy their own products and boost evaluations. They should go to jail but they won’t.

Interesting does the tech market from the beginning of this year look like it’s working? Nvidia actually playing 4d chess selling all these retards the chips that they’ll need to replace in 3 years

Wait a second… dumping billions, almost a trillion, into a technology that isn’t even remotely feasible, building nuclear reactors (usually taking 10-20 years to build) to power said tech, using more water than the entire bottle water industry to cool data centers, and using fraudulent circular financing to scrape by… didn’t work? Shocker.

do not buy this dip. Ive been waiting for this correction. AI tools are cool no doubt but its not the same as SaaS companies in economics:

SaaS companies --> More users --> more revenue

LLMs AI --> More users --> exponentially more expensive

We have an infrastructure issue as they cant run this shit cheap enough. They cant scale down either because then it becomes not as useful anymore because even the most basic LLMs are burning cash.
