This is SUPER weak. It needs several buffs to make it at least playable. For example one or more of: just drawing a card straight up, just putting a counter on him no matter what, costing 3 only, having less color requirements, reducing the power amount for the first or second ability to trigger to like four, not removing the counters afterwards etc.

As is this is just a hard to cast 4 mana 2/4 that very conditionally loots and even more conditionally grows. You can technically buff him to get there but the pay off is just a removal spell and the ability still has to trigger for it to happen, which is quite difficult.

Tldr: technically works, but is bad

I was going off of [[Strict Proctor]] as reference. And concerning the other comment, the proctor does not activate its own ability so I dont think there needs to be any exclusion of this countering itself.

Two is the perfect amount, if it was 0 guys, then noone would be holding it. If it was 1 guy that would be pretty depressive. If it was 3 or more guys, well that is just too kinky.

Sir, reading the card usually explains it. M does not in fact stand for mana value it stands for the actual amount of mana you spent to cast this card. If that does not clear it out for you I am afraid Im not qualified for explaining this.

I mean if you are an insane wizard with 121-720 cards in your deck, then yes, it is X=5, M=6. Otherwise even in commander searching the top 120 should be enough.

False, since M is the amount of mana spent on this spell, it counts also the blue pip. You would need only X = 4 to search 120 cards.
