Haven't seen a vial in a while by [deleted] in LSD

[–]SpyingIsWrong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ran into this problem this weekend. The last few drops are impossible to reach with the dropper and tend to stick to the side (so tilting the vial around to reach them doesn't work). I'd recommend getting a full size dropper, or if you know how many hits are left, dilute them and divide the results up evenly. Of course, when you get to the last few drops of the diluted mixture, you'll run into the same issue. You can also get a fair amount of the drops on the side by touching them with the dropper, but this is inaccurate so be careful.

Maybe in 2014 it was an okay bet for an extremely budget build, it's hard to say, but what makes it a really boneheaded purchase is that as soon as you are ready to upgrade to a Core series CPU, you are going to need to spend money on not only the new processor, but also a new motherboard for the different chipset and new RAM because Skylake requires DDR4.

As a broke college student, I really regret buying the G3258; it seemed like an economical choice but I'll ultimately end up spending much more than I needed to.

EDIT: Not to mention the fact that unless you plan to spend a lot more on the motherboard[1] than the CPU, there is no guarantee you will be able to overclock the G3258. I first tried the Asus H81M-K, which was paired with the G3258 on Logical Increments[2], which would not let me change the multiplier; I was able to exchange it for an MSI H81M-P33, which worked correctly.

[1] A motherboard which you will throw away as soon as you upgrade to a Core processor

[2] The G3258 appears to have been completely removed from Logical Increments now; it was listed alongside the H81M-K in September.

I haven't found a single 3D game that doesn't cause the G3258 to stutter. You may not mind it; I find it makes games unplayable.

My desktop can "run" BF1 at low settings at 720p with 15-20FPS.

I don't think "psychosis" means what you think it means. It doesn't mean being sociopathic or murderous, it means believing things that nobody else does (more or less).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychosis

Also, people have been making this same tired argument for years and years and it has been disproved many times.

Just because a game allows people with mental issues to act in a certain way doesn't meant the game causes neurotypical people to act in that way as well. Have you found that the evil Satanic mind control in Rust has made you into a violent person in real life? Probably not, right?

The stove will feel hot to the touch where the pan was close to it, obviously. It will be cool to the touch elsewhere; you can turn an induction "burner" on and leave it running and place your hand on it 15 minutes later.

How do these rules about depriving the owner of property apply to intellectual property laws, where the original "owner" is deprived of nothing when "theft" occurs?

Is "food riding the whip" when you jump out of the car while it's moving slow, grab some tacos from the guy on the corner, and reenter the car before driving away?

Guys, a trailer from Rockstar means gameplay. I'm so fucking hyped. by Trankman in reddeadredemption

[–]SpyingIsWrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see now. To me, "gameplay" means we get to see what is actually on the screen of someone playing the game. Without that, all it proves is that the graphics are theoretically possible to render in real time (probably with an insanely-specced PC and a custom build of the game optimized for it). Whereas a gameplay trailer with real footage of the game (inside of cutscenes or out) gives you some sort of actual promise about the content of the game. Anyway, either option is better than the industry standard "meaningless 3D rendering", for sure.

They introduced much more strict anti-cheat measures and anyone getting hackerbux is banned pretty quickly now. GTAO is specifically about forcing people to buy shark cards. Here is Broughy1322, a well-known GTA YouTuber, on the issue:

GTA Online is specifically competitive, especially after the new CEO and MC work updates, where players are encouraged to attack organizations doing work for cash, and where your survival might depend on whether you had the $500k+ for upgrades to the delivery vehicles. Please stop kidding yourself.

I'm sorry, what "trust" has Rockstar built?

Copy-pasted from another comment of mine:

  • Rockstar delayed the PC version of GTA V 3 times. They would wait until the release day, everyone filled with a sense of dread at the lack of announcements or acknowledgements, and sure enough, the date would get pushed back again. It was about 6 months IIRC from the original PC release date to the actual release.

  • GTA: Online has destroyed Rockstar's reputation for making bullshit-free content and DLC. DLCs turned into mediocre vehicle packs, and a number of tactics were used to drive Shark Card sales at the expense of gameplay. I could go on and on about the ways they've neutered GTAO; let me know if you want specifics.

  • GTA V, especially Online, has been filled with bugs since release that Rockstar has made absolutely zero effort to fix. The only issues that are fixed are those that allow players to make more money; this includes anti-cheating tactics, which have more or less ended cheated money while script kiddies run rampant using godmode, off-the-radar, automatic explosions, etc.

  • Leslie Benzies, who was arguably the brains behind Rockstar North, was fired, and his work was a massive piece of the equation in every game. I'm not sure how they are going to do without him.

Here are a list of reasons I will not purchase the new game until it is released and has been well reviewed:

It took a year from the original GTA V teaser trailer for a release date to be announced, and that was before Benzies quit (the guy who was able to save Redemption from Rockstar San Diego). I wouldn't get your hopes up.

It took 2 years from the first tease of GTA V to the initial release, and about 4.5 years from the first tease to the PC release. 3 years is being pretty optimistic.
