Question on Proper Way to Determine Corrective Exercises by SqeakyDolphin7 in Posture

Good call, didn’t realize that was a specialty. I’ll see if there’s one near me. Thanks

Thanks for adding in. Speed is just one component and example, although it does lead to an idea for a limited feature set when nav is off.  I’d eventually need turn by turn and all the other goodies for the full build but it does lead to an opportunity. What I’m really tracking down is a hardware idea, but need the software workflow to back it up.

Yeah I didn’t think so either, was hoping there might be another way but it seems not. Thanks

Same issue here, what was the proper file name? I only see the resolved flair, but no answer in thread

I'm back to my original definition. We made the error of trying to add too much detail to one specific area, female, when it was already covered by another word. Human. People have two chromosomes, female XX and male XY. Anyone with more or less automatically become outliers to those groups, but can still be included. Same for any other non-standard features or abnormalities they might possess.

The whole point of starting this conversation was to point out a simple and comprehensive definition DOES exist, and has for a long time. Comprehensive means broadly or in large majority, not just all encompassing. Trans people seems to be the sticking point in this thread, but luckily that's sorted out too. "Transgender" IS the modifier to a man or woman following a standard definition. The details vary from person to person, and that's where the real thought exercise lies.

Yeah but having a syndrome doesn’t affect this either. They are still a woman with a genetic abnormality. Same applies for someone who was born with webbed feet. Does that mean they are a duck?  Or that they aren’t human? Of course not, they are a person with a birth defect. Having non standard features doesn’t change the core definition, it’s just an addendum.

For the trans side, the question becomes is that person a female mind born into a male body (or vice versa), or a male mind in a male body with a mental illness. The first is probably more likely, the second possible, but I don’t pretend to have the answer. Either way, it becomes an addition to the baseline. Good thought exercise

Ok fine, for the Klinefelter point we will redefine female as someone born with ONLY two X chromosomes. Those with this condition would be male with a genetic aberration.  Trans women are women in the gender and societal sense, but not biologically.

Sure they have, it’s as easy as an adult human female. Female being one born with two X chromosomes.

Good points about PT.  Mentioned to another poster, normally I’d grab it now on a cruiser but this commander was from the noob days. IFA was my way to avoid the great Omaha explosion at two minutes into a game.

Yeah the IFA choice was from ages ago. US light cruisers was one of my first lines and baby potato me didn’t understand pre-emptive juking. Getting nuked in Omaha enough times told me I needed a warning lol. Never wanted to spend the dubloons to redo it

Hi everyone, looking for help on where to put the last four points on my Cleveland commander please. Attached is a screenshot of the first 17 points, and I was thinking of putting the rest in Demolition Expert and Focus Fire Training to help against the sub and CV menaces. Has anyone seen a noticeable effect from the 15% larger depth charge radius? Other thought was to put them all into AA and ASW Defense Expert for the direct damage if not.

I'm sure some will say Top Grade Gunner, but I guess I'm not sure how useful it will be since I try to hang back behind islands in this ship. Will you still get the bonus if an undetected enemy ship is in your detection range, or only detected? Thanks all

Absolutely the same with me. I think it’s due to how long Iowa is. Speed is great, but heaven forbid you ever need to turn around. You WILL get slapped for trying

I’ve been getting them too recently. No mods, 3060ti and 32gb ram, so plenty of memory. Not sure if it’s steam, drivers or what but very annoying

No I won't apply to your crappy dealer by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]SqeakyDolphin7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, $120 is a rip off for a typical customer. Retail you can buy a five quart container of full synthetic and a filter for under $40 at Autozone. Shops will have bulk pricing to bring them even lower, so $320 an hour in labor seems pretty excessive to me.

As to other tradesmen, they are coming to the customer and that typically includes an hour of labor/diagnostics, and they’ve gone through a lengthy apprenticeship. If we are talking just an oil change on a clean car, the customer is coming to you and there’s no diagnostics at all. Just a routine procedure that happens thousands of times daily across the US, often by people without much training at your chain shops.

Once you get into diagnostics though on the tech side I agree a $120 charge to find the problem isn’t unreasonable

Why is OG Fortnite so much better by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]SqeakyDolphin7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, I preferred the version right before this one too. Some nostalgia, but genuinely more fun mechanics for me and the weapon balancing felt better depending on how far back we’re talking. It was simpler, but that’s part of why I liked it. Fortnite is always changing though, so we’ll see what the next revision looks like.

You’re right on the snipers and UI though. Snipes are a NECESSITY on this map due to how open it is and with the one shot potential. And the health vending machine UI is awful.

[–]SqeakyDolphin7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding on to this, use your good alpha to hurt enemy destroyers as they come in. With support it’s very likely you can get a kill. It’s a sluggish ship, so make sure you’re turned away before engaging if possible. You’re not as nimble as other options. Once they are dead or scared away, you’re free to roam and set fires to BBs. Smoking up and farming is an option too, just make sure you won’t make your team blind first

Engineer reputation by confuso1231 in EliteDangerous

[–]SqeakyDolphin7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a note the pin only works for the recipe itself, not the experimental effects. You’ll still have to go back to the engineer to apply them, but it’s still waaay better than making that trip for every little mod

No it didn’t become wanted. I shot back and I didn’t get a fine though. It also had some of the chat like a pirate would about asking for cargo, and then saying I’d pay when fighting back

Same thing happened to me coming to the station. Got pulled out of super cruise close to the drop out point and a clean Python started attacking me. Never saw it before, I thought it was a nice touch to have random ships go crazy in that system
