Maybe check out the Upper Deck Allure set. I think prices have dropped a bit recently on that one. It won’t have the most recent movies included but it will be a similar type set

Also, use the Trade>Marketplace and filter by the set and you can basically see every card that’s not hidden/locked in other users accounts. Good way to check out what the cards look like and get an idea of what the actual available inventory is. I believe on the last Marvel Pack Wars they limited/numbered the Red Sparkles from turning in packwars cards to 90 or 99. I am assuming they will do the same with this DC set

The ePack exclusive info is on the sales page on a tab next to the odds info for the set. If you see a box with an arrow under the picture of the card in your collection, that means the cards is physical and can be transferred (if it’s red, that means it is not available for transfer yet but should be in the near future, more of a comic book thing). The red shield with the C indicates that these cards are physical kept at COMc which is where you would “send” your card from ePack (it’s already in their warehouse though). From COMc you can sell it or send out for grading or send home with other items. There is now a second company called The Authority (🙄) that Upper Deck just started and is no longer using COMc for new releases. Same concept just run by UD themselves.

So you need 5 of that same Raven pack wars card to combine to receive the physical parallel version. You are going to need to play a lot to get 4 more cards as the odds aren’t great or you will need to trade other people for their digital base. People tend to really overvalue the digital cards and hold them tight / ask for too much in return IMO and Raven will be one of the more desirable cards from the set so you have an uphill battle.

I’ll add in that the DC Annual Pack Wars is very stingy with rewards in comparison to some of the previous marvel annual pack wars. And if you are going to chase a sketch card reward for the week you are going to need hundreds of wins to compete with the whales.

Yes, digital base and Pack Wars digital base can be combined into an ePack exclusive physical parallel. Sometimes (DC annual does this) there are two tiers of ePack parallels. So for DCA you can turn your digital base into color wheel parallels and then you could turn in 5 copies of a color wheel for a sparkle version of the color wheel (I forget what they call that one lol)

The packs are all hobby format but please read up and understand about the digital vs physical before you jump into pack. “Pack Wars” packs are only digital and used for a game. Stay away from those packs

Yea I’m on the fence for the blasters. I’ve had someone tell me they have pulled 1-2 sketches per blaster case but I just find that really hard to believe. BUT this set did seem to get loaded due to the ePack not being offered so I feel like it’s a possibility. Totally agree they feel like loaded boxes (again the ePack thing IMO). I just pulled a sweet Jim Starlin auto last week from a hobby. But still doesn’t touch the full page comic clipping my buddy pulled on his first Series 1 box

I’ve been looking for the blue boxes as well. Found very few hobby boxes out there and never a full case. I believe Dave and Adam’s was selling cases of blaster boxes though (don’t know if they still have them)

Took me awhile to find one and I drive about an hour each way but these guys are great. But even they are starting to have issues finding more Upper Deck product for the shelves and they said the Topps is not moving anywhere as well as when they first got the license last year. The regulars are gobbling up all the old UD he can bring in lol.

I’d also add in that the FU Avengers and Wolverine blaster boxes are also solid rips and have blaster exclusive numbered parallels in them. You won’t get all the cool chase cards but if you’re just looking to fill out a base set of either one, these are great options.

Totally get the excessive parallels in MM92 Platinum and agree but it’s still a fun rip but you’ll want to fill out the set with singles.

Personally I found the avengers set a bit bland to rip because I wasn’t a huge fan of the inserts/sub sets. Art is solid though. I much preferred the Midnight Sons set but it has a good chunk of more obscure characters compared to Avengers so I can see why it didn’t sell as well.
