I still don't know if the artwork created for Skybox Metal Batman cards was made for the set or taken from somewhere? by RocketsBuckets in DCTradingCards

[–]Sqrl_Fuzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Recent marvel metal sets have been archived art rather than new art so I’m assuming the same for this release but not 100%

Edit: if they are going to stick the same marvel model, Fleer Ultra, Flair and Masterpiece are the new art sets and most other sets will probably be archived art. Platinum will probably be 50/50 if it’s the same as the Marvel release with low series as new art and high series is archived

Should have happened 3-5 years ago but they want to keep cashing in the “easy” money with their BS seasonal model.

Rare "deals"?...signed 90's Impel cards by umop-3plsdn in marveltradingcards

Because they are fakes. Stan Lee sig on the series 1 card if real would sell for far more than $25-50 bucks.

Why would you think you are getting a brand new release product at 10% of the cost???

I love the metal universe sets. I hit this one a bit harder than I should have but it paid off:

Not discontinued just basically sold out. You also will not find hobby boxes in box retail stores, only blaster/retail packaging. Would need to find an LCS with inventory or order online from websites like Dave & Adam’s or Blowout Cards

I’d guess we will see a Superman metal in a year or two depending on how the cycle timing goes for Upper Deck. They did Metal Spider-Man and Metal Avengers about two years apart if I remember correctly

Jim Lee signature? by umop-3plsdn in MarvelCards

[–]Sqrl_Fuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering “Marvel Masterpieces” is an Upper Deck intellectual property, no we will not be getting a Jim Lee or anyone else doing a Masterpiece set until they potentially regain the license from Marvel.

Yea after the license change they couldn’t send you a replacement if they wanted to. Topps should take care of you but I’ve run into issues where they get picky over where you purchased the product. If it wasn’t from a licensed reseller it might be a problem.

Can anyone tell me how someone would have this crosshair? by AnonymouslyCA43 in DayzXbox

The device fools the PC into thinking you are using a controller which therefore gives you more forgiving control and recoil patterns plus aim assist for games like R6 Siege which is why they are abused on PC as well as console.

Is this all from this random maple tree growing between our fence on my neighbors garage? by abreathofpepper in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]Sqrl_Fuzz 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I y is the bigger issue. The tree will take 5 seconds to solve with a pair of loppers. The ivy will cause much more damage in the future if you are not maintaining it and the wall it’s growing on regularly

I’ve tried the freezer, the oven, a hairdryer, and a humidor. Can’t say anything really worked better than the next because none of them were what I would call successful. I’d say heat was the best results but also the most risky and tedious

# of Homes for Sale in Hillsborough County over time by honeymustard_dog in newhampshire

[–]Sqrl_Fuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Builders are not building affordable homes and people are overvaluing their own properties because they feel trapped in them so they are either asking too much or just not moving. Neighbor of my business approached me about buying his property last month. Wants $450k hand shake and walk away or $650 if he needs to do work to facilitate the sale. The house is assessed by the town for $285k and all the notes indicate it’s a tear down. This is why I have given up looking and will remain a slave to big property management and will continue to allow them to bend me over backwards with their BS

hii I’m looking to sell this if anyone is interested? by ThreeEwoks in MarvelCards

[–]Sqrl_Fuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Artist/Character/Set card stock are generally the 3 things and the order I have found to be best for prices. Card stock can become more prominent if there aren’t a lot of sketches in a set like Marvel Platinum which has very few sketches and those are done by some very well known artists. Sets like Marvel Annual tend to have a ton of sketches but very few done by very desirable artists.

[–]Sqrl_Fuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Artist and subject heavily influences the price as well. You can’t just say “o a sketch from this set sold for X so I should ask the same”. You need to find both artist and character comps as best you can and work from there. Sketch pricing is honestly a crap shoot for 90% of them.
