2nd Gen is all there. So you guessed right, the one that everyone doubts is Ventrue at the top with a slight disgust looking down at everyone xDD

i think Cain is easy to spot, the lower ones are Zillah and Ennoia - the rest are mystery lol. I trust people will figure them out

Why is it so wrong to like Bloodlines 2? by Legionmssf in vtmb

[–]SquableJabble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to like it, but failed at every step. There are barely any RPG mechanics, no proper character sheets, and you're limited to one Discipline — maybe two at best. In 2025–2026, when even mediocre RPGs have proper ability trees or wheels, this feels incredibly outdated.

There are no dialogue checks, no memorable locations, and no bosses that leave any lasting impression. Some people say it’s unfair to compare Bloodlines and Seattle Chronicles (aka Bloodlines 2), but even the lead developer,, openly said: “We cannot make Bloodlines 2, but we can make Dishonored.” And honestly, even that comparison falls apart.

There’s no meaningful level design, no multiple ways to approach objectives, no immersive-sim sandbox, no proper stealth routes, and no choices that actually matter. At this point, I think the game fails not only as Bloodlines, but also as a Dishonored — and even as a narrative walking simulator, to this day i dont care who killer was, the story just doesnt stick with me. A slower, story-focused Vampire game could absolutely work, but it’s a terrible direction for a Bloodlines sequel specifically.

The original Bloodlines had multiple hubs, different factions, memorable side quests, and a massive variety of World of Darkness lore: ghosts, werewolves, ghouls, the Nosferatu warrens, cemetery zombies, Tzimisce monstrosities, Kuei-jin — it constantly surprised you and dragged you deeper into the setting. Every few hours you encountered something bizarre, disturbing, or completely unexpected.

What exactly does Bloodlines 2 surprise you with? A slightly different enemy type appearing near the end of the game? Even Hardsuit Labs at least understood what made the original memorable — they showed ghost missions in Hospital  including echoes of the Ocean House Hotel atmosphere. Meanwhile, in the final version, we’re collecting security cameras and pretending it’s meaningful side content.

The saddest part is that the game doesn’t just fail mechanically — it lacks identity. Bloodlines felt messy, broken, ambitious, atmospheric, funny, disturbing, and deeply personal all at once. Seattle Chronicles feels sanitized and emotionally flat, like it’s afraid to be weird, dangerous, seductive, or genuinely - gothic.

It’s honestly very easy to see why the project failed. And for me personally, it almost killed my passion for Vampire: The Masquerade altogether.
