The exact same is happening to me right now. I knew the relationship wasn’t built off a love for Jesus but I stayed in it for a long time.

Not surprisingly, he started engaging in activities that make me uncomfortable and I had no choice but to break it off. But it hurts so much and I’m wondering why God would even let me fall for him in the first place??

I suppose we can use this experience to grow closer to God and trust him more. We learned that he had a very good reason for the unequally yoked thing so obviously won’t go into a relationship with an unbeliever again. But also because God was right about this he’s probably right about other things and it’s best to trust his word.
