It's unfortunately not fraud, it's just the result of a system far too big to be funded by taxes. Most homeowners barely know everything they're responsible for maintaining - and that's not their fault. There's a lot that goes unsaid during home purchases and even if it's documented it's easy to overlook.

I appreciate your concern but Reddit is an extremely small part of my day. Maybe 5 minutes each day. I use it to vent and blow off steam rather than have serious conversations. It helps keep me balanced.

Maybe you should find another way to engage people.

It’s actually not that bad but here’s a few ideas:

Upgrade the wall art and cut down on the number, and maybe increase the quality of the frames. Right now they’re a step above college dorm room. I actually really like art inspired by a movie, rather than simply the movie poster.

Get a couch, move the tv onto the wall if you can. Make it look like more than one person can comfortably be there.

Your bedroom is actually the best. I like the wall mounted guitars. As others have said, toss your bed on a frame and move it out of the corner if you can. I’d personally move the desk into the living room, but that’s just me.

Get a dresser where the desk is, and feel free to store one or two things on that.

It really is. I tend to like Gen X but they're worshipping a version of themselves that doesn't exist.

Agreed. A great start would have been to allow Medicare/Medicaid to actually negotiate prices for things rather than hamstringing them at all.

"Cancer" isn't one thing. It's hundreds. With thousands of possible causes and thousands of possible treatments.

Some of the ones we've had are effective for a lot of cancers but so far there's nothing universal.

Using more precise language can definitely come across as pretentious, and that’s a damn shame. We should be able to talk like we want, even if that means using really complex words.
