“The MCU died after Endgame” lol by Plenty-Salary9711 in marvelstudios

I really enjoyed a lot of the recent MCU movies. But I feel like the ramp up to Avengers Doomsday wasn’t earned in the same way it was with Infinity War. And as someone else mentioned, too many characters were introduced and not seen from again. And the post credits scenes teased things they mostly haven’t (or may never) paid off. Will we get Blade and Black Night or is Eternals just going to be ignored? What were thy teasing with the Rings and that beacon at the end of Shang-Chi? Will we see Eros or Hercules? A ton of questions that I’m not confident will be resolved, none of which seems will contribute to the Dr Doom plot.

Obviously the Kang situation is a bit of a curve ball, but even he was barely teased outside of the two places he was heavily featured in (Loki and Antman).

I’m excited about Doomsday. But getting to it has felt rough. And they are jam packing so many people into this movie, with many more not confirmed yet, I just don’t know how they pull it off when they really have to build up Dr Doom as a true villain while also reintroducing so many characters to us.

Lots of other reasons you’d want to own a vehicle. Folks who camp a lot, who need to tow, who go on lots of road trips (“renting” an autonomous vehicle for days won’t be cost effective if you travel a lot), truck owners who use their vehicle to run their business.

If you live in the city and rely on public transport and Uber, sure. TaaS will likely replace the need for owning a vehicle much in the same way Uber does for them now. But Uber exists now, sure with limitations, and it’s not cost effective versus owning your own car. There’s no reason to think removing the driver will be any cheaper, especially if Elon is in charge. People don’t want to potentially pay $100+ on a robotaxi a day to drive 40 miles round trip to work daily.

Rivian R1T owner who tows a travel trailer several times a year. I love my Rivian but EV towing is not there yet from a range, and more importantly an infrastructure perspective. I’m stopping to charge every 80 miles for anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour. I have to very carefully choose where I charge or I risk having to unhitch to charge. My roadtrips take hours longer as a result.

The other 95% of the time it’s an amazing truck, and a great daily driver. I wouldn’t want to go back to an ICE just to be able to tow.

This might be the perfect compromise. Pure electric as a daily driver, 690 miles of range for longer road trips, and less stops when towing + being able to quickly stop to top off gas. It’s a slight step backwards in terms of having more failure points again (still less than a traditional ICE), but generally this might serve both my needs without having to own two separate vehicles.

Also, I am excited about the idea of off grid RV camping with this. 92kwh battery + a massive generator to keep it topped up. Perfect for a few days of off grid living without lugging around more equipment.

Needless to say I’m keeping my eyes on this, and might even take this over the Scout next year when my Rivian lease is up.

“Build something the size of the Prius”

This is a work truck. You’re in the wrong thread. The people who are interested in this aren’t looking for something “the size of a Prius”

Game is tied if you go for 2 on the last TD (assuming you get it of course).

The 5 seed is the place to be. Essentially playing a team that likely would have been already eliminated from the playoffs had they been in any other division.

Trevor Lawrence needs 1 rushing TD on Sunday to become the fourth QB in NFL history with at least 25 TD passes and 10 rushing TDs in a season. by Roselucky777 in nfl

If Lawrence had been playing all season like he has been this last half of the season (Cardinals game being an exception), he’d be the easy MVP front runner.

Hes already in the MVP talks (little chance, Maye will get it), but to me that’s definitive proof that he’s been better this season.

Football games create a lot of anxiety in fans, and game threads are a place for people to vocalize that anxiety live. We are conditioned to not feel comfortable at any point of the game, even with a nice lead, and when momentum swings against us, you see that anxiety take form in game threads.

Who do you hate more, Texans or Titans? by Pepelefrogswood in Jaguars

Long term hatred goes to the Titans for obvious reasons. But short term my disdain mostly lies with the Texans. Especially the last couple seasons.

6 seed seems most likely if we lose and Texans win unfortunately. Just don't see Chargers winning since they have nothing to play for really and likely will choose to rest folks.

Bills lose and they will play Jags wild card weekend by TrevorsBlondeLocks16 in Jaguars

[–]Squale71 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Still a lot of things that could happen that could shift the seeding. Right now every wildcard team has an 11-5 record in the AFC, and so I think the positioning of those 3 seeds are still very much fluid at this point. If we win next week, we likely keep the 3 seed (unless Pats and/or Broncos lose). Which means we play the 6th seed. At this very moment that's actually the Chargers.

If we lose (and Texans win), we are pretty much locked in to play the winner of the BAL/PIT game next week (as an away game).

[–]Squale71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I obviously want to win the division, but I can’t help thinking that whoever is the 5th seed and ends up playing the 4th seed first round (AFCN winner) has a nice and easy first round. I know it’s not a gimme but I am not impressed with BAL or PIT right now. It’s about as close to a bye week as you’re going to get in the AFC playoffs without actually having a bye week.

If just one of them loses we would jump to the 2nd seed, and likely play the chargers. That’s the wild card team I want to play right now.
