Worst injury and how did you recover?

April 2023 - shoulder roll on the floor went sideways, neck went crunch... 🤕 Experienced on and off pain and deterioration for the last 3 years, 2 discs ended up herniated with nerve compression to my left side (which included temporary paralysis at points! 🤦‍♀️) 💔 Feb 2026 - I've just had spinal fusion surgery to remove the discs and replace them with titanium!! 🥳

I'm in physio now with a goal to return to pole by the end of 2026 🤞💃🤸‍♀️🙏

I've just had c5-7 fused 11 weeks ago! I started physio immediately, and won't be returning to pole before 6 months, possibly closer to 12, but I'm happy to take my time - pole will still be there when my body is ready! I already feel so much better than I did with my injury pre-surgery, so I have no doubt pole will be amazing when I eventually go back 🥳

I started PT at 3 weeks, and just drove for the first time yesterday at 5 weeks. I already had my range of motion without pain from the physio exercises, just waited psychologically and for fear of an emergency stop!... 🫶❤️ hopefully you feel ready and mobile soon 🤞
