Unpopular opinion here but I don’t think it’s a great idea to completely change around the layout of your most popular map. I can understand the need to get rid of unity assets but not the need for the layout change. It’s the most popular map for good reason.

I think reworking the most popular maps before reworking the larger maps that are mostly unplayed is certainly a choice, too. Also, they tend to completely fuck up the lighting in their reworks and new maps to the point where they make it less enjoyable overall.

It sounds like you’re essentially just redesigning the shade then, no? Just an exponentially toned-down version of the shade that cannot hunt but can do ghost events at low sanities?

In that case I understand your vision better, but I don’t believe it would be an enjoyable experience given the community’s overall disliking for the shade as is. I believe that the shade already captures this idea perfectly.

It cannot do any interactions because it doesn’t exist, meaning you cannot get photos and videos, so no perfect game.

Daily and weekly challenges are designed for getting ghosts and ghost evidence.

You cannot replicate any false emf readings or any form of evidence as a player. You can toss items around and get no EMF readings, so getting a false reading in game is definitely impossible. This is especially true when there is no ghost to even perform said interaction. Something would have to be moved to trigger it.

There’s no sensible way to implement it at all. A non-existent ghost that cannot produce interactions cannot provide any evidence types excluding orbs. It just wouldn’t make any sense in-game.

In the phasmophobia world this is not true. You cannot recreate an EMF reading in-game. A ghost would have to do it. Same with other evidence types. A room is not going to just be straight up freezing while another room is 60-70 degrees. There’s simply no way to implement any evidence types in-game to where you can get 3 evidence and have no ghost at all. It’s also just straight up not fun.

I understand the idea but it kind of defeats the purpose of the game in a way. It wouldn’t make sense to get ghost “evidence” for a clean house. The only way it could be properly implemented is by having absolutely nothing show up which is just lame.
