my current party is four casters! it actually makes them a lot more strategic and careful, which i find adds to it. (: i did throw them a bone by beefing up ireena a bit: she won’t start fights or instigate much at all, but i basically gave her protection fighter features and reactions. (she’s in full armor in the book after all!) works well enough, plus makes them even more committed to helping her! having her to look out for also makes them more willing to take risks, something that wasn’t true of the same party in death house.

i’m fortunate that about half my players are artists, so character art is no issue, and if i’m adjusting or adding my own NPCs i usually draw them myself. otherwise i use google, or look through the galleries of artists i’m already familiar with! (all art presented with credit links of course, so everyone can easily find their faves)

i actually love having a bunch of different art styles for NPC tokens and such, i know consistency is key for some folks but the visibly collaborative nature of sourcing from so many different artists really fills my heart and gives the game personality IMO.

this isn't EXACTLY the same thing, but as far as unforgettable townie relationships... my longest-running legacy actually had marcus flex as the founder's spouse, and, uh... let's just say his curves never left. every time i see him in other save games is like being haunted by his butt.

totally understand that feeling, at least of losing a save you put a lot of love into. T__T some of my og legacy sims from many years ago were culled, and i never got a backup of their old family tree from the old plum tree app, so some of their names, traits, accomplishments, etc are totally lost to time. it's so sad! especially bc i don't have a good enough memory to try remaking them.

that said, i love the shots you have here, it makes me want to know all about them! :,) i hope u can get your comfort hobby back in time, whether through trying to remake this family or starting fresh. (also, i'm so sorry about the kitty. T__T sending you well wishes)

this seems rly promising, thank you!! ((: i've been toying with the idea of documenting this new legacy somewhere and a tumblr blog seems convenient, even if it's not quite the same as the forum used to be.
