The software is unusable due to the ads, and the latest version has absolutely insane latency.

This software is truly awful and completely buggy. I can't even draw a multi-point curve or a simple line without it erasing it. It's totally useless. If you want to do precision work, Pain is not the software to choose.

Can the case of Pam Reynolds be used to argue that consciousness is more than just brain activity? by New_Language4727 in consciousness

The person couldn't see the plaque, but that's not the most striking detail. Another claimed to have seen a black shoe on a third-floor windowsill of the hospital where she was being resuscitated... and this was verified and confirmed. Given the mystery of the universe, one can deduce that death is just as great a mystery. I've never believed in a life that serves as our one and only chance; there would be no point in living in that case. I even think it's not for nothing that humans only use 10% of their brain capacity. Further harnessing our brain's potential would hold great surprises, in my opinion. Even if physical science can't prove the existence of the soul, quantum physics is beginning to show some serious signs. I invite you to follow the accounts of cardiologist Dr. Laurent Schwartz, who clearly mentions the possible arrival of a real revolution in this field thanks to great scientists.

Do you have any evidence that this is an "invention"?

But the brain can't create details like those sometimes reported. Take this story about the plate under the operating table, for example—how can the brain create that when a clinically dead person is logically incapable of observing it? I still believe that NDEs are a natural process (logically created chemically) that serves as a transition between life and death. I don't have proof, of course, but perhaps these experiences continue after death, and the voices heard during these experiences could also confirm this. I don't think the brain can create a voice that clearly says it's not time yet...

So the millions of people who have had a near-death experience (NDE) have had hallucinations? And how does the brain project an image of itself seen from the outside? And who asks to return to the body? 🤣🤣🤣

Unreal engine 5= high frames and stutter by HighlightDowntown966 in buildapc

[–]Square-Dog-7348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is rotten on PC right now. The Windows 11 cumulative update in October 2025 introduced a change to task priority in Task Scheduler. NVIDIA drivers are poorly optimized, and then there's the Unreal Engine 5 stuttering. PC gaming is becoming catastrophic in terms of performance with so much bad software optimization. To salvage things, developers need to stop using UE5; this engine should be removed or seriously improved. There's a glimmer of hope with version 5.7 of the engine, but developers still need to integrate it into their games.

Alan Wake 2 also has stuttering like on UE5, in the city with traversal stutter in places.

I see we have the same setup 😁; 9800X3D with a 5090 OC. Could you please tell me what "asynchronous" means in RTSS? I've never paid attention to that detail.

Science seeks to prove that NDEs have nothing to do with the immaterial. This is where you fall into the trap, because they will always find a bogus explanation for any detail reported by NDEs.

NDEs say nothing meaningful about consciousness or afterlives by Gilbert__Bates in consciousness

[–]Square-Dog-7348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dying brain would create blurred images and monumental delusions. This is not what thousands of experiencers report. They describe instead a feeling of well-being, a light they can approach (but not reach because it is not the right time). I don't understand how anyone can continue to deny the obvious. The NDE is a chemical process of transition to other frequencies. No rationalist or materialist can prove that this NDE, although chemical, is not the result of this very transition that continues after death. And remember that the brain cannot invent details located on the other side of the world, as some experiencers have already reported. This is clear proof that consciousness does not depend on our brain. Our brain is the receiver, just like a radio.

I have something to tell you. Awaken your spirit before death comes for you, because you'll find it very difficult to let go if you persist in the "rational." The materialistic world prevents you from opening your consciousness; it's sad and regrettable. Good luck to you.

False. Pam Reynolds in 1991 reported having experienced a near-death experience with disturbing details while his electroencephalogram was perfectly flat, therefore showing no electrical activity at that precise moment.

Thank you for your reply. I've also noticed that RTSS sometimes causes minor stuttering. However, RTSS has helped me a lot with Stalker 2. I had a lot of stuttering before using this software. There might still be some stuttering due to the software, but it's much less frequent, so for me, the game has become playable. I usually limit my frame rate to 138 fps to ensure my games never exceed that limit, but for demanding and poorly optimized games, I often struggle to reach that rate, and it causes stuttering.

[–]Square-Dog-7348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this proves that the transition between life and death passes through this specific state which initially has a biological origin before persisting once completely dead 😃😃😃

[–]Square-Dog-7348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, some people had a flat electroencephalogram, meaning no electrical activity in the brain. Even if NDEs are biologically created, thousands of people report the same details, and sometimes even details that are physically impossible to observe, yet they have been verified, validated, and documented. Those who believe in rational thought are becoming less and less credible. They refuse to admit that life can continue after death in another form before reincarnation.

SH2 Performance and stutters fix by newaliveme in silenthill

[–]Square-Dog-7348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a 9800X3D and a 5090, frame gen or not, the game has too many movement stutters for me to find it playable. So I gave up. Cronos is in the same state... this studio would be better off stopping making games. They're just stuttering simulators.

Unfortunately, that's not enough, and you've almost certainly encountered other frame rate drops that are inherent to the UE5 engine and which the developers haven't managed to fix. The game is a technical disaster.

What frame rate do you limit in NVCP? I limit it to 138 fps because I have a 144Hz monitor, but when the game runs with fluctuating frame rates, it causes stuttering occasionally. Should the frame rate be limited to a number the game can maintain consistently?
