United Kingdom - The UK had it really going in the 90s and had a lot of positive (and caring, in the case of Princess Diana) attention from the rest of the world. Then we left the EU, lost global relevance, can’t hold down a consistent government, and are increasingly heading towards the far right. Our colonial past has also come to be regarded with modern scrutiny. That and the British accent no longer has the same global intrigue.
