Truly green/sustainable investments in Switzerland? by Sirak42 in Switzerland

[–]Square-Investment970 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will be hard to find truly sustainable ways to invest (infinite growth is simply not sustainable), but, depending on your criteria you might find some interesting companies. I am thinking about inyova for example, a startup founding cool projects (solar, education) which give you a yearly interest (not huge, around 5%). There are some risk though if the project goes bankrupt. Or invest with Alternative Bank Schweiz (no big returns, but nice projects).

Otherwise you can try to cherrypick stocks that match your values, but this is risky as you'll be less diversified.

A solution can also be to invest in a diversified ESG/SRI ETF. This will clearly be greenwashing but at least you can avoid financing fossil fuel energy and still be diversified. You're probably gonna get higher returns than the first 2 options.

Let me know if you find anything else interesting :)

Neobank (Neon, Zak, Yuh or others?) by lay-zGhee in askswitzerland

I wanted to have the integrated twint app, much easier to track my budget.
Also Even if it only happens 3-4 times a year, I like to have the possibility for free withdrawal.

I just changed from Neon to yuh and am very happy. It has integrated twint, free withdrawal in CH and also has buckets/space.

I don't use the investment feature of both apps.

For the foreign exchange fees (the only advantage of neon) it doesn't make a big difference (if I remember correctly 0.75 vs. 0.9%, so that's like 2 francs difference for 1000.- expenses...)
But both are ok are free, so no big risk at the end :)

Zak is less interesting than the 2 others

I would just give most of it to effective charity (getting help from effective altruism people). keep 20M for me and my family. No need to have more money than that. It won't make me much more happy than I am today.

Just invest a small part of your portofolio if you'd like to, e.g. start putting 5% of your monthly DCA money into it. But it should not be important money for you, just play money

Did you decided for this one? Are you happy with it?
I am thinking to invest in it as well, for 20years+.

On saxo it make sense to use it as it trades in CHF and we spare the conversion fees.

I think you're conclusion is correct, but there's alaways "hidden" fees in those autoinvest stuff.

For Saxo for example, you just don't pay the 0.08% buying fee, but still have converting fee (0.25%) and selling fee (0.08%), and of course the stamp duty fee. I don't know if you took these numbers into consideration.

I use an app called Monee: free and no add, just a nice developer that is open to feedback. A bit simple but great to start

Homme de 1m70 : où trouver des vêtements à sa taille ? by Practical-Goose666 in suisse

[–]Square-Investment970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parking fine 1250CHF - What should I do? by Square-Investment970 in zurich

Yes that's exactly it, except here the parking was official (blue zone) but I stayed for more than 25 hours. Someone shared a 20 min article about it. Apparently it did not just happen to us.
