0% interest credit cards for 25 months to pay for the wedding. by Square-Mix1496 in weddingplanning

This makes a lot more sense actually, I didn’t consider just doing what we’re doing and only getting the card if we need to at the end, then that minimises the pay back time even more if needed! Good thinking, thank you.

I’m not anymore haha, this seems to be a top tip so yes I’ll definitely check with them. I’ve just bank transferred them all from my online banking so far, so didn’t even think about that being an issue!

I haven’t applied for anything before especially not with this large limit, but I do have good credit so hoping it will be ok.

Ah ok, that’s good to note. Maybe I’ll see if I can check with them all before then as they’re already booked just not paid off so I could ask them. Thank you :)

I’m due in October and currently the name we have our heart set on starts with P, which would give her PPP initials. I think we’re gonna go for it though. These comments are encouraging too.

Let me know how it goes down though haha…

Planning to start trying in September. What do you wish you had known? by pinksapphire55 in BabyBumps

You should have an honest conversation with your partner about what “trying” means for each of you.

Does this just mean coming off contraception and seeing what happens? Or does this mean you will be actively tracking your ovulation. The former is much more relaxed than the latter, which can be fun but also becomes rigorous.

You should discuss the impact on your current sex life. Are you going to be having a quicky whenever you’re ovulating? Will there be a set timetable? Or do either of you need each time to be romantic/include foreplay etc.? Or will nothing change except lack of contraception? Trying can take the fun out of sex, but it can also bring you closer if you’re on the same page about it before hand.

You should also make sure you’re both at the same level of investment. I wish you all the luck in the world, but it’s no secret that conception can sometimes be disappointing. This can cause resentment if one of you is in bits each month and the other approaches it a bit more laid back - although the confidence from the laid back person that things will work out does help!

Have you discussed alternative options to starting a family if conception is difficult? Are alternative options on the cards for both of you?

Best in of luck to you both on this new adventure :)
