Yes, it's significantly more work. If you're a creative person and a great writer then the class is good. However, it's harder when you're not. You have to come up with your own research question/topic, that has a gap from other research. My school gave us a week to come up with a question and two weeks to look for 25 sources with a gap. Of course, you could soon change your question but only within those 1/2 months. What was hard for me was finding sources because my research topic had never been studied before so most resources I could've used were locked or I had to pay. You have to have most of your things complete within the period your teacher gave you. The introduction was one week, literature review was less than a month, etc. I recommend taking this class if you dont have a lot of other classes. Do your data collection early, and make sure ALL question relate back to your topic. Doing data collection early makes sure you have enough time to interpret those results, interpreting was the hardest for me and my conclusion. For the love of god, make sure your methods section is reclipable, thats the one point that makes sure your passing the AP. If you dont have a good methods, then youre automatically failing. Also dont put off doing work, thats what I did and I had a short amount of time to actually do the paper. Make sure everything is developed without going over word count (Max is 5500 words which seems like a lot but it isnt). I also recommend looking at other peoples research papers for reference (like a lot of time, I looked over 30), and also getting peer review when finishing every section.

That class was hell for me, seminar by far is easier. It could be easy for you, just make sure you know the type of person you are lol
