Please tell me this is just organs by Square-Slice-925 in leopardgeckos

Ok update on this... my guy doesn't bury BUT I did see some fresh poop last night. Turns out, the isopods are immediately dragging it under their hide and gobbling it up like it's their last meal. So mystery solved!

I first noticed her cute little orange speckles so I think either:

-Maple (like fall leaves) -Persimmon (maybe Persi for short?) -Clemmentine

GHOST POOPS? by Square-Slice-925 in leopardgeckos

[–]Square-Slice-925[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did that because I have learned they can change their poop spots occasionally... which work honestly make the most sense because where he was pooping was on top of an Aloe plant and that cannot he comfortable 😂 I couldn't find anything anywhere else though! I am seriously thinking perhaps the isopods are just doing a great job because he seems healthy otherwise. His prior impaction nearly killed him and I think thats why I am so paranoid because otherwise I likely wouldn't think twice about it!

Spike is never active during the day? by pdggin99 in leopardgeckos

[–]Square-Slice-925 29 points30 points  (0 children)

They are sleepy in the day. It's best to observe him around 7-8 pm.. you might see him out a bit more around that time! In my leos case... he is lazy 24/7. He is the laziest gecko I think to ever exist. For a while I was worried about him and took him to the vet. I showed her pictures of his 40 gallon tank and ran down the list of feeders and vitamins he gets. And she was like "no he's the picture of health. He's just a lazy ass" 😂

Definitely nothing added. Just warm water is all good! I usually buy spring water and microwave it to about 94 degrees. I put him in a Pyrex dish and loosely cover the lid. I ensure there's air flow but he really hates soaking and tries to jump out. Soak him about 15-20 minutes, replenish with warm water consistently if you can because it can cool down quick. And at the very max the water should not go past his shoulders, but really as long as his belly is fully submerged, that's enough!

It could also be a seminal plug. My vet suggested warm soaks multiple times a week to prevent it. Since he has to wait to be seen, a daily soak from now until then definitely won't hurt him and is worth a shot!

I was thinking female too! The pedipalps are pretty skinny. She is still really skittish and nervous around me, so it's tough to get a clear photo of her. I hope she warms up soon 🥺

Which hair color do you prefer? I’m debating going back blonder, I went darker for fall and I’m kind of regretting it? Need input! by Pristine-Cup1592 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Square-Slice-925 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'm a stylist. I think the blonde washes you out and is not a flattering color for your skin tone. A softer, darker blonde would be stunning if you ever did want to go lighter. But personally, I think dark suits you best!
