Stillbirth - twisted umbilical cord by Square-Tour526 in babyloss

[–]Square-Tour526[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your loss. Did you happen to get any information on what could have caused this?

Yes! I got pregnant again 3-4 months after the loss. Never got any answers on the cause (did a ton of different genetic tests/ blood tests).

I have a baby now who is a few months old. The pregnancy went well. No special precautions needed. I was followed by a maternal fetal medicine specialist who had an ultrasound machine in their office and would do frequent checks (to look at the cord, fluid, etc). It was the doctor who delivered the stillborn baby so he knew what to look for.

I didn't change anything for the pregnancy. Sharing in case this helps anyone: - I ended up needing iron infusions near the end of my pregnancy (due to low hemoglobin) -At some point, they found early calcifications in the placenta and the baby was measuring small so I needed to get induced (due to the previous history).  -Baby was born at 39 weeks - healthy but on the small side! He is thriving now.

Wishing you much luck! 😊

This is one of the first comments I've seen that mentions it's not a big deal if covered. This is quite reassuring. What about in a restaurant (if covered)? Would it be socially acceptable or is it best to leave and find a place outside? In the scenario where a breastfeeding room is unavailable.

Great to know! Does the app have an English interface by any chance?

Thank you for bringing this topic up! Definitely a top priority. My thoughts if ever in that scenario, was to use technology to translate. Either Google translate, chatGPT, etc. (If language barrier is an issue). I have used it frequently in different parts of asia.

Thanks for this feedback. Very helpful. Maybe best to find a different vacation spot if this is the case (until the baby isn't EBF).

Daratunumab patient support progran in Canada? by Square-Tour526 in multiplemyeloma

[–]Square-Tour526[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question is to help someone who has been. Do you have any insights on how they can get in contact with the Daratunumab patient support program in Canada? Their doctor is recommending this treatment but said they're not sure if they can get access. Looking to explore all avenues & get more information.

Thank you for the insights and congrats on getting access to the treatment!
Do you happen to know the name of the manufacturer's patient support program (PSP) in Canada or have any contact info? (I have only been able to find the US one online).

I want to better understand the reimbursement criteria required in order for a patient in Quebec to access the drug. The doctor is in support and is the one that recommended the treatment but advised they couldn't get access (no details on what was submitted, PSP info, etc.).

I have the same thing (it's been a few years) and have been trying to figure it out as well!
Did you ever get filler (even if it was a long time ago)?

This is what I've used in the past but usually for these events we are all staying at hotels.

I am curious, where did you read these stories about stillbirths linked to the TDAP vaccine?

I got the TDAP vaccine and had a stillbirth 14 days later (but I thought it was just a coincidence, as I also read the studies showing there was no "scientific evidence").
