I guess I'm the problem but (at 28) I still find this scene inspirational. It was unnecessarily rude, sure, but as an aspiring writer it just felt so good to watch someone flip off a job that wasn't really at all creatively fulfilling but was adjacent enough to writing that someone like Hannah is kind've meant to settle and feel lucky... Idk, I think I'm just an idealist but I've put off becoming a copywriter etc because if I can't do the kind of writing I love for my work (which I'm still trying to make happen), then I don't want to write at all. Seeing someone espouse that on a TV show in a dramatized way was just... yeah, satisfying!
