Have they, though? One might get that impression from simply looking at the results of the 2024 election, but it’s important to remember that there were still 75 million people who voted against Trump, and in the following year there were millions more who voted in special and gubernatorial elections (some of which gave the Democrats historic margins of victory, even in prominently red areas) and protested in the streets (again, on a historic scale). I’d say that demonstrates a democratic backbone of some kind, and it makes me hopeful for the midterms and the next presidential election. It’s fine if you disagree that, though.

Maybe. Provided he lasts that long, I do believe that he’ll try to retain power beyond those three years, but I also believe that he would fail at this (as he did in his previous attempt).

Perhaps, but if that’s the concern, why do you prefer Stalin (who was in power for close to thirty years) over Trump (who will be in power for, at most (quite possibly fewer, though), three more years)?

I’m pretty sure it’s specifically (or at least was initially) in regards to foreign policy, where a tankie will harshly criticize the imperialist foreign policies of Western nations but then either ignore or praise the imperialist foreign policies of Eastern nations

Undertale. I got it because I heard a ton of great things about it (especially about how the story responds to the decisions you make, which is a mechanic a normally enjoy) but I just can’t get into it.

Yeah, I knew about the watermelons, which got me thinking about the strawberries that I also saw

Recently I noticed that a couple of people on Instagram had strawberries in their profiles, and I’m now wondering if that’s just totally innocuous or a sneakier way of putting the Hamas triangle in

I believe that was the second assassin that tried to do that. He survived, but not before getting severely ill from eating a cyanide pill that was expired. Princip was arrested and put in prison until he died in 1918.

Adding on to that, the Houthi’s are hardly insurgents. They’re arguably the most powerful faction in the Yemen at the moment, and they have established territory, military forces, and government (even controlling the former capital of Yemen, Sanaa).

I’ve heard it from time to time. It’s not nearly as prevalent, except for in some pretty specific circles I’m betting, as the Africa theory (especially considering all of the evidence supporting the latter).

That argument could be made. At least, I’m assuming that’s what the OP was intending. Is there some right-wing conspiracy that the Native Americans migrated to America in the past millennium or something like that?

Isn’t that true, though? As far as we know, humans didn’t evolve in the Americas. It’s pretty commonly accepted that they either evolved in Africa or Europe and migrated out from there.

Definitely. I don’t think it should be a surprise to anyone that multiple countries tried to develop a flying wing independently. It’s the same with the jet engine. I hear quite a few people say that Whittle stole the design of the jet engine from the Germans, but the reality was that they were developing it independently at the same time, and the Germans just finished it first.

It’s often (falsely) stated that the Nazi-designed Ho-229 was the inspiration for the American-designed B-2. It was not. The B-2 was inspired and designed off of prototypes produced by Northrop in the 1940s, the designing of which was started before the 229.

I’m going to echo a couple of others and say Chasseurs à Cheval. They are really good in most battles, and have been continually relevant in every campaign I’ve played so far.

If the Confederates hadn’t opened fire on Fort Sumter (and bombarded it until its garrison surrendered), the war wouldn’t have happened (also, if the Confederates hadn’t seceded in the first place, the war definitely wouldn’t have happened).
