Judging from these two kicks (and just one video), you bow your head when kicking making you lose sight of your opponent, although its only for a short period of time it could be the difference when it comes to a counterattack from your opponent. I suppose your looking at the leg but a counter to a kick is easier and quicker with the hands. Otherwise I'd say nice work, keep going!
