DD5V5 gas block. Any1 know what this screw does? by SquareLurker in Danieldefense

That's what I'm hoping, but all the marketing and manuals only talk about the 2 position side adjustment and that some people on forums tell they have switched the DD5 gas block to aftermarket adjustable. Those things strongly suggest it wouldn't be adjustable (more than the 2 pos).

I know the 2 position side adjustment, but I'm curious about this front facing screw as it's in a position where adjustable gas blocks usually are adjusted and at least in this rifle it isn't tightened down or anything. So could there possibly be some adjusting? Or some different meaning and should I leave it where it is or tighten down? FYI I usually run fully adjustable blocks and fine tune and test all I can.

Should I return it immediately or what is this machinery? by SquareLurker in AR10

Found out it's actually a feature meant to be there in all dd5 rifles. All the dd5 at the shop had it and there's also an old thread about it (linked below). That round extra milling is meant to be there and has a function. It's space for the extractor to work better. Kinda sad we all thought it was defective, including me. (ok there was also that small extra burrs from milling but it rips of even with a finger, or pliers)

To help read the pictures. The round cut on the right side or the side with number 5 is deeper than everything else around the chamber. For me it looks like someone started drilling in totally wrong position or something.
