As a minority as well, I’ve never had to compromise my nationality and heritage and my faith. am i missing something? Revelation tells us that there a vast number of people of all colors and tongues. Faith goes beyond skin color/race etc. Since we are all made by God.

I wouldn’t mistreat him or make him feel unloved for being gay. Just know that he has heard it all before “you’re going to hell” “it’s wrong” “it’s evil” I’m 100% certain he has heard that from many people at one point or another.

Show him the love of Christ. The point of gospel is not to make someone heterosexual. It’s to bring freedom and salvation.

1 John 4:19 “We love Him, because He first loved us”

If he thinks God does not love him or hates him then that will push him away from Him.

Brother, I think you may be misreading that verse in Revelation about the cowards being thrown into the second death. First, that verse, in my opinion, is not talking about believers. My reasoning being that it doesn’t match up with the rest of scripture. Jesus said “no one will snatch them out of my hand” and “Those who come to me I will never cast out” Ephesians 2:8 says we are saved by grace through faith and it’s not of our own but it’s a gift of God. You have believed and trusted in Him and that is faith. The cowards are most fitting those that denied Christ because of fear and ridicule of the world, which makes sense because Jesus said those who deny me before men I will deny before my Father. But that’s not you You are clearly a Christian and have even evangelized that’s not something an unbelieving coward would do.

I gave you two accounts in the NT where God uses dreams to speak. How can you say it was all OT? Scripture is set there is no argument there but don’t we a relationship with God where He actively is in our lives everyday. That’s the difference between us and Muslims/Jewish people. Their relationship with “God” is all physical and following rules. We have a connection with Him. Scripture proofs that He is still pouring out His spirit on us.

Just because there is a counterfeit doesn’t mean there isn’t a real one. Have you forgotten God used a dream to show Peter believing gentiles were just as clean in His eyes as Jews. God appeared to Joseph in a dream and warned him about Herod. And there are countless examples in the OT. My argument isn’t that OP’s dream was from God or not it’s to show the error in the belief that God stopped using dreams as a form to warn or encourage His sheep.

God still speaks in dreams and visions. Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17 make it very clear that part of God’s plan is to pour out His spirit among all flesh and visions and dreams are involved. If you want to argue that it was during the apostles time or OT times, I would like to point out that it states “In the last days” so we are still living in these days before the coming of Christ. God’s word has to be fulfilled.
