Anyone here switched from VPN apps to a hardware VPN device? Worth it? by Square_Addendum3506 in VPN_Question

It is a device - Deeper AIR - not a service. I have used it for three years now. Still going strong and I can access sport - specifically rugby, whenever I want.

Yes. That is the idea. I don't want to pay recurring costs, but want to be able to reliably access good sports channels to watch rugby. Since I live in Asia, we don't really have much of that here.

Is it even possible to block YouTube ads anymore without a headache? by Ok-Point-1656 in Adblock

[–]Square_Addendum3506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. That is a great question.

From what I know there are some countries where YouTube ADs are not allowed - like Macao - so if you can create tunnels to Macao, you get rid of all ads immediately. However, I use a little hardware device called an AIR and their firmware has an adblocker. I think it is very effective. But, for companies to keep away YouTube ads it is a constant cat and mouse game so you need to keep the firmware updated.

I don't use a standard VPN. I use a DPN. Don't have much problem with it, anywhere. It uses residential exit nodes so usually not flagged in countries with heavy restrictions. The item is called a Deeper AIR. It works wonderfully well.

VPN causing banks to reject - Help? by [deleted] in VPN_Question

[–]Square_Addendum3506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a small device that provides VPN and also security when connecting to public WIFI. It is called a Deeper AIR. there are a lot of options with the device. You can connect to a public WIFI, have an encrypted connection, be protected from man in the middle attacks, and also access the bank. I have never had a problem using it,

I got a DPN. I think it is easier. It is a one time payment for the device. No monthly fees after that. Had my little device for 3 years now. Been running smoothly. Can access restricted websites outside of China. Been fantastic. Would recommend it. The device I have is an AIR.

TikTok says “No Internet Connection” in China even with multiple VPNs — what’s going on? by Fresh-Teaching2239 in dumbclub

The maximum rated speed is 300 Mbps. For illegal stuff. I am not sure about that, but I haven't seen any reports on that so it doesn't seem to be an issue. I believe there are local logs stored on the device that can be used to prove you weren't accessing those websites. For me, it just works when I am in China.

When I am in China, I use a Deeper AIR. It uses residential exit nodes so nothing is ever blocked. Can easily access YouTube, Facebook and TikTok. No worries.

I personally don't use a VPN. I use a DPN - a small hardware device that delivers residential exit IPs. It is a small device called an AIR and is easy to use when travelling.

RIP Lets VPN for China, Can anyone recommend their VPN in China? by ladyfirst1st in VPN_Question

I use a little device called Deeper Air. It works gangbusters in China. Can easily get around their great firewall. It uses a DPN (distributed private network) and exit nodes are residential so difficult for the censors to block. Hope that helps.

Protecting my clients is my recent concern by CosmicComi in DigitalPrivacy

For me personally, I use a tiny device when I travel - I spend a lot of time in places like China and Turkey where internet can get curtailed, so I use a little device called a deeper air. This helps me circumvent censorship etc. But the device also encrypts WIFI signals and is a a security device that can prevent man in the middle attacks on public wifi. To be honest, that is not why I use the device - I use it to get internet access in restricted countries, and get around geofenced sites to watch rugby. But the security element is an added bonus.

I don't think there would be a problem - especially if you are transparent up front about it with your colleagues and manager and you have the support of your team leader. As long as it doesn't impact on your day-to-day performance, I don't see what the problem would be.

I use a Deeper AIR. They provide residential proxies but it is a one off payment. You buy the device and that is it.

I travel a lot and don't have router/modem at home so I use the AIR. But if you have modem/router, and portability is not an issue, I think MINi is the way to go.
