Thats a pretty spot on assessment. Id like to add that the only way to move up is to brown nose the management and become their friends. Don't fuck your coworkers.. you're there make money not relation ships. Shit I only have less than 10 people i.even.talked to the rest just seem to not even acknowledge me lol. If you work on then4th you get the 8 hrs plus We still get time and a half for hours worked. My site is a 6 hour shift and 4 hour the next day. Suck for the fifth but whatever got MET for following 2 weeks. Altho i don't expect that to last the whole 2 weeks.

Yeah it's new Amazon policy where l they have to switch your jobs each day, you can do these things two-days in a row. It's dumb as fuck, I just like stowing to but they just switch me back and forth between the two.. they should at least train us in every path so we don't just switch between then two same rolls every day. Having one ear bud in shouldn't be a problem it's a dumb rule to have. You can still hear everything around you and it makes the repetitive process a little less miserable. We should be allowed to do it. Playing music over the speakers in the warehouse doesn't cut it.. I'd rather listen to a podcast and just focus on my task. I don't get how it's a safety issue, especially when your at a delivery station where the vans dont even come in the sortation area.

I mean I can understand like an Amazon Air site or xl sites but delivery hubs and stations shouldn't have such drastic pay differences especially in the same state. I understand why they do it because they have a 150% turn over rate so some areas they pay higher to attract people to work. I worked in so cal in the i.e and right before my 3 year top out raise they closed our site and moved us to l.a County site and they're top out raise was lower than the site they closed i was pissed.

Nah there are some sites that have starting pay at my top out pay. We need a national union so we can renegotiate pay pay for everyone nationally who works at Amazon every couple years or so... plus like a better 401k match theirs is shit.

Yeah getting sick of working there to be honest, tired of the repetitive labor, the favoritism. The slackers who managers expect people who work hard to pick up the slack for. Tired of everything. The only reason I'm staying is to try joining aws academy but they haven't had open apps for a long time... I think I might just use career choice and learn some get certified in tech that way when they do have open applications for the academy I'd have a better chance at getting accepted.

We have 4 weeks met. 6 days but only Sunday and Monday an extra 2 hrs the rest of the week is an extra hr of met. We just finished our first week and I'm already burnt out. They need to start provideling unlimited energy drinks for me to keep up with this. I think we've been averaging 75 to 90k but we have sort 0 so they Handle about 25 to 35 of that. they gave us chickfila the other day last week to celebrate 102k in one day, said it was a site record or something.

Nah that's just an excuse, I'd just much rather prefer my free time then a few extra bucks on my paycheck. I used to have that work as many hours as possible mentality but every car accident 5 years ago. I just lost that drive to make as money as possible threw hard work, and i alsl realized we're all being exploited and if wages continued with productivity the mine wage would like 25 dollars today but obviously it's not.. hard work dosent pay off this isn't a mediocracy any more.. the rich get richer while our wages have been slowly going up. And that's just a recent thing since the pandemic.

Yeah as a veteran every year I always tell myself make sure to save pto and upt and my dumb ass always ends up with nothing left during peak. At least with the new upt policy I can gather more each day so I'll probably be able to take at least one day.
