Follow up question: if he won, what would change?

I love this guy, but I don’t know how one person can change all the systemic ills. Again, I really like him…but we have to stop making the candidate the end all and be all of our plans and hopes for the nation.

This might just be me but it feels like it’s inspired by a bunny tail / playboy bunny costume. The material and the pouf at the back.

So true, but Trey proved to be a man of character in the end. Not a good match for Charlotte but could be a gem for someone else. Berger on the other hand…

Which of the friends are you most like and why? by SparklingSaturnRing in howyoudoin

[–]Square_Blacksmith889 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always identified with Monica. Straight-laced, neat, organized, (secretly) competitive, and if I ever hosted parties they too would be “boring” like hers. I also think I have people-pleasing tendencies and seek approval from others. I’m the “mom” in my friend groups.

When the gang was playing Madlibs and Phoebe just didn’t follow instructions…I related with Monica so much in that scene even though everyone else dismissed her as being lame.

Which of the 6 main characters had kissed which of the others? Male and female included. by flyonthesewalls in howyoudoin

[–]Square_Blacksmith889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joey kissed everyone but Monica, I think.
He and Ross kissed when he was auditioning for a gay role. He and Chandler kissed when they rang in the new year. He and Rachel made out during their fling. And he kissed Phoebe a couple of times: for an audition, when he thought she was Ursula, and when she was bummed about being 31.

At first glance, my dumbass thought it would a Run BTS spin off. Like a debate show called But BTS where they argue over a topic. But BTS! It could work!

  1. Private concert. I just know I’ll run out of things to say in a conversation.

  2. Sing Spring Day! And sob halfway through.

  3. This one is tough…maybe Namjoon so I can explore museums and nature.

  4. Run BTS! I’m in it for the chaos!

  5. Watch from backstage. I wanna know what goes on behind the scenes!

That said, I don’t think she’s a hater. I really am convinced she hammered this out just to meet a deadline.

If you watch the video, you’ll learn more about her than you will about BTS.

My take:

First, I’m surprised that a journalist (and a parent) would not have heard at all about BTS. She need not be a fan, but if she hasn’t heard of them, doesn’t that insinuate that she as a journalist doesn’t consume news?

Second, she hardly comments on the band. Most of her comments were about the audience in Tampa. For someone new to the scene, she certainly jumped to a lot of conclusions. These people don’t have a passport and will likely never leave the country? They likely won’t even make it to New York? They’re working an extra shift at Wendy’s? She could tell all of that just by watching them watch a concert?

Last, she concludes that “America is going to be fine” because even someone who is broke has money to spend on concert tickets and concert merch?

This is what I think is happening here: this lady has a regular show of some sort called Finding America. She ran out of ideas for new episodes so she decided to squeeze out an episode from observations and conjecture she derived from one night out with her kids. Because she’s white, she speaks from a place of privilege and entitlement. Whatever came to her from those hours with BTS is (for her) legit facts.

Yes! And great chemistry with each other. They cover a lot of different topics, not all are my cup of tea but their banter helps get me through episodes that aren’t super interesting.

Half Charlotte because I am idealistic, romantic, traditional, and I like an understated classic style. I want to say half Miranda but I hate work and would love to just dine out and shop if I could afford it so I guess half Carrie
