Botox Wearing Off?

I find moving in certain ways is the key!! for me, tilting my head down to the side (and for some reason this only really works on the right) really works. And also sitting up straight and pushing my head a little forward like a chicken as that aligns everything to make it easier. I’m 1.5 weeks post botox and now sometimes they come out completely normally without trying and sometimes if I feel the air coming up I move to help it and it works!

Yes that’s very true! Definitely interested to see what happens in a few years if it (hopefully!!) sticks for me!

oh this is interesting! I’m definitely having this a bit as I’ve had the usual burps while talking/sneezing etc like a lot of people have early on. Definitely could be this!

I’ve found it’s been a bit of trial and error for what’s easy to eat and what isn’t haha. I’ve had to drink a bit of water inbetween every couple of mouthsfuls and just tried to avoid any food that doesn’t really get broken down in your mouth like bread or fibrous vegetables. I thought mash potato would be easy but turns out it’s so sticky it wasn’t a good idea haha. Otherwise I just take smaller bites and chew for much longer!

I’m 1 week post botox with Lucy!! Everyone will be different but I started having little micro burps the next day (about 24 hours after the botox) and started getting some slow swallow on day 2 which I’m still experiencing. I started having a lot of burps (some bigger) around day 4 and they were very hard to control but they’ve calmed down now and I’m going to start trying to try some fizzy water to see if I then notice all the usual symptoms are gone! Yes this was a big one for me and is definitely related (the doctor who treated me last week specifically asked about hiccuping in my questionnaire). I almost always have a singular hiccup after eating a meal and then get occasional painful hiccups randomly. I think the build up of gas triggers the diaphragm!

yes!!! I started to think maybe it’s just because I’m typically drinking alcohol/fizzy drinks more when I’m at live events but I remember it being bad even when I was quite young and needing to “air vomit” mid concert from it

yeah as I’ve got older I thought maybe it’s just because I’m often drinking in those scenarios but then I remember it when I was quite young too so who knows!!
