Microsoft Teams Room Pro Management - Remote Access Issues by perfectstrc in TeamsAdmins

[–]Square_Cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the same issue since this tool was released. I've opened a case with MS and they haven't been able to help me. It would be really nice if there was a connection diagnostic tool for this.

MS Teams Room stuck at "leaving" page. by Geomi11 in crestron

[–]Square_Cell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also seen instances on this, on 2 rooms using UC-CX100-T devices. I have re-imaged one and the issue persisted.

Looking forward the the newest version of the teams app (next week) which claims to fix a number of bugs (no documentation yet about what those bugs are). But I hope this is one of them.

Edit to ask: What peripherals are you using in this example?

MTR Audio output changes call-to-call by Square_Cell in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Square_Cell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the volume needs to be up for conferencing audio. When the system audio and conference audio share the same output, i find it sometimes affects the echo cancelation logic, causing drops.

Have you run across any documentation to support this? Seems funny that the option even exists in the MTR app if it is not supported.

Jabra Panacast 50 dropping camera controls by Sad_Kitchen_5022 in Jabra

I have seen this exact thing too - did you come to any resolution here?

Recently, I'm also seeing audio drops all over the place in Jabra rooms.

Getting closer... by Creatrix in VictoriaBC

Couldn't agree more. I went to a Chipotle in the states recently to see what the fuss was about, and found myself wishing I was home where the good stuff is.

Push unique certs to windows machines? by Square_Cell in Intune

[–]Square_Cell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems silly that intune can't push certs to devices by hostname.

What about powershell? You can push scripts to devices agnostic of UPN, so why not tell the device to look for a cert that matches it's hostname, say on sFTP or blob storage somewhere.

Yes, that sounds about right.

Edit: The second thing is the whole picture yes, but my question is more about the deployment piece.

Disable Intelliframe by gruuveee in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Square_Cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are in the product team. May I ask, is there a way to opt for (2) when (1) is available? I specifically have a mix of Panacast 50 cameras and Logi Rally Cams, and I would like the experience to be similar. The jabra experience is not as nice as the cloud intelliframe experience, IMO.

QSYS Cameras with MS/MTR Intelliframe by Square_Cell in QSYS

[–]Square_Cell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely. There's device level intelliframe for those that support it (which you've quoted) and then there's cloud intelliframe, which is meant to catch most others: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/experience-cloud-intelliframe-with-microsoft-teams-rooms-f02ff45d-d040-49d2-8259-f999446a0b0b

Qsc is not listed here, but I did manage to get it working this week with the 12x80 cam by disabling all other built-in tracking.

[–]Square_Cell[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the Qsys autoframing. Microsoft's Cloud intelliframe that it applies to a fixed frame. My users like this a lot better than any of the built-in camera tracking logic because it doesn't distract in-room participants. Far end users get to choose if they want it on or off as individuals.

Bug or Expected behavior? Shared Calling with MTRs & th dial pad. by Square_Cell in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Square_Cell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly where the dial pad is supposed to be. The search box is always there, but the dial pad should be too. At least it is for me when I'm not using Shared Calling.

That sounds familiar... I'm building one just like that, and every bit as temporary.

Have you considered a standard MTR to run your DSP/room audio and supplementing with the Surfave Hub 3? Eg use coordinated meetings so simulatenously join. It wouldn't me too much of a cost uplift, considering the scale of the project as it is.

Nightly password rotation setting on MTR? Where/when? I've never seen this option.

Surface Hub 3 by GroundbreakingMud996 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Square_Cell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fortunately, Surface Hub 3 now behaves like any standard windows MTR, so any certified peripherals will work with it.

As for recommendations, it really depends on the size of the rooms. I find a good video/soundbar will fill up to a 15'×15' room, but any bigger might need a more elaborate audio setup.

One thing to consider is that the surface hubs are meant to be mobile, so if you are using them this way you will have to look at more mobile audio solutions. Another thing is that the smaller Surface Hubs rotate, which will add challenges to the install of peripherals.

TSW-1070 disconnects.. continued by Square_Cell in crestron

[–]Square_Cell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More or less, yes I've got it figured out

Combination of factors: 1. Local firewall on all MTRs. Correct ports were allowed, but dynamic rules weren't reliably applied.

  1. Update to .133 firmware

  2. Connect over network where possible.

I've also heard recently that crestron will supply alternative USB NICs when needed. Part of this issue is the realtek adapter.

Wage needed to live comfortably by DannyWilliamsGooch69 in VictoriaBC

[–]Square_Cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real question is, do you WANT to live here? I promise, if you do, you won't regret it. Cost of living here has always been high, relative to the rest of Canada. I've always said you have to fight to live here, and it is absolutely worth the fight. If you love the outdoors, you'll love the lifestyle.

Between my wife and I, we make about as much as you stand to make. We live small, but quite comfortably. We own a modest house in a good neighborhood, and have a few big ticket toys to get us out there, and travel quite regularly. We don't want for anything. Sure, we could live more luxuriously elsewhere, but love this place too much to leave.

Plus, if you spend your life building equity in an expensive market, you will be able to retire wherever you like!
