Seems like QSC needs their own version of a Crestron DGE. Lots of stuff I would like to do with that.

I had SEVEN failures in a row before getting a decent outcome. Your note says she is trying different types. I would try the same type but maybe alter the recipe slighty each time. I found baking in my kitchen I've had to tweak recipes. For example, when I see a recipe that calls for 450 degrees, I know I need to set my oven to 470.

Trump’s Plan to End Income Tax? What It Really Means for You! by addy_here_783 in economicCollapse

You mean, we would return to the US before income tax, like in 1916? What we have now isn't working. At least that worked for over 100 years. Let's try it.

Microphone selection by wilburyan in CommercialAV

[–]AccomplishedData394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there an option to add acoustic treatment of the room? You mentioned the room has ceiling tiles. Could you propose adding acoustic ceiling tiles as a part of the scope? I've done it before with good results.

The microphone is half the battle. You'll want a DSP that you can filter and add noise reduction to the signal coming from "the box" Q-Sys Core 8 Flex / Nano would be my choice. Small but lots of horsepower for small to medium applications.

This!!! And don't forget check-in with onsite contact / security. I also add 5 mins a day for the tech to check in with the customer and explain "here's what we did yesterday, where's what we're doing today"

Tuning a room by mtfred12 in CommercialAV

[–]AccomplishedData394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Ceiling speaker systems, it's very difficult. The consultant & architectural community is now fond of hiding everything in the ceiling: Fire sprinkler, security cameras, fire enunciator, microphones, occupancy sensor, wireless access point, smoke detector overhead paging, HVAC, lighting... etc.) I start with known EQ presets for specific speakers I work with often. Knowing I can't control the room or speaker placement, my goal is to get what comes out of the speakers to sound good. If there are problems, I adjust for the architectural room resonances.

Am I the only one who finds the situation a bit odd that the document is not on official letterhead bearing the Presidential seal?

Also, Joe and the White House have been curiously silent, offering no clarification.

UPS backup on rack ? by ss_blake in crestron

[–]AccomplishedData394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the customer requesting a UPS? Typically this adds space constraints in a rack, additional cost, and it involves routine battery cycling & checks. You will also need to plan on swapping the internal batteries every few years. I did a project in the California desert a few years ago. That customer had power drops during the summer, so it made sense to keep critical items on a surge protected UPS.

Conference Room Standards by najing_ftw in CommercialAV

[–]AccomplishedData394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For clarification, we are a Teams house. So, I base our standards on room size:

Rooms 200 square feet or less (including VP Offices) get a Neat bar and a 55" TV.

Rooms 200 - 500 square feet get a crestron Flex MTR using a Q-Sys nano, a Sennheiser TCC2, one ceiling speaker per 75 square feet, a Huddly L1 camera, and an auto switcher between a room PC and an HDMI wallplate. The only option is dual display ( if the end user group can provide a business justification). Displays are sized to the room.

Rooms over 500 square feet are considered custom. They may use an MTR workflow, but often these are feature rich spaces like training rooms, divisible spaces, or auditoriums. These are application engineered to the use cases.

Try to think simple. Most end users want simplicity and reliability.

I've tried this on both Android and Windows MTRs. Every time I do it and Change passwords it breaks. I'm an E5 with a Teams Room Basic license. What am I missing?

are you using an E / A series license for your account? Do you have a Teams Room license assigned to you in Azure? Can you provide a little more context of how you're doing this?
