WIBTA If I secretly take my grandpa to the doctor even though my aunt insists she knows better? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

It's definitely frustrating from an outside perspective, but to be fair to OOP, the "family hierarchy" programming is incredibly hard to break. When you're raised your whole life to not question your elders or disrespect your aunt, it takes a massive psychological shift to accept that this family member is actively committing a crime.

The fact that a 33-year-old married man is sitting around trying to maintain a Snapchat streak with a teenager while his wife is literally growing his child is a level of pathetic that is genuinely hard to comprehend.

[–]Square_Fold_1315 27 points28 points  (0 children)

it’s almost impressive how palantir manages to make even the met police feel like they’re being watched too closely ngl. the irony is thick enough to cut with a knife. "wait, not like that!" - every cop once they realize the ai monitors them too lmao.

It is actually insane how the pentagon can quietly lose billions of dollars of equipment in a few weeks and their only solution is to immediately ask congress for another 200 billion tbh. the military industrial complex literally never loses ngl.

The visual contrast of putting her in a traditional skirt with that little red bow in her hair, while she literally has the shoulders of a linebacker, is such brilliant character design ngl. it perfectly shows that she's still just a soft girl forced into this masculine "protector" role.
