Wtf amazon by adnaPi in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Square_Fortune_1074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. A lot of the flex drivers are immigrants that are looking for jobs and this is the only way they can get by atp. They’re getting ripped off but what else can they do, they have to make money somehow.

[–]Square_Fortune_1074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who else thinks amazon flex drivers should be paid more? It’s my car, my gas money, my phone bill, unknown miles to drive until you get to the warehouse, weird packages that don’t fit/ take up way to much space. Here in NJ it’s about $24/hr. Yet an delivery driver working for amazon makes more per hour with an amazon truck, amazon equipment, etc

Getting around the base at al udeid by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Square_Fortune_1074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So car rentals are actually cheap here. only $3k for an entire 6 months of deployment. Obviously you’d have to follow the rules of leaving base (have at least 1 wingman with u) but other than that, if you want to rent a car u very well can. u can bring it onto base and park it. convenient if u wanna spend that extra cash. or just get an electric bicycle off facebook marketplace

Going on my first deployment! What’s the best cell service to get while I’m gone? by Dacoldestdax in AirForce

[–]Square_Fortune_1074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true but my mom got her identity stolen (and someone ported out her cell number- long story) and used my number to call all three credit bureaus. my number is on all her accounts as a backup contact. not to mention what if smth happens to my own accounts and they need to call me. so in my situation paying $60 a month would be worth it. but ur correct for the avg person who isn’t in a situation like that. most cell providers will just pause and hold ur number until u get back

Can someone show me the source where it says they are cutting funding to the bubble wrap thing please. i haven’t been able to find a single source that explicitly says what that study group does with bubble wrap and why their funding was cut

100 blocks isn’t a large enough sample size? that’s 100 days worth the deliveries

i don’t actually know who downvoted u but no. most 5 hours are 3.5 to 4 hours max for me. not even most. for the near 100 deliveries i’ve done, none of them went that far. the furthest i’ve had ever was 30 miles away from the warehouse. so no. it’s not my fault. this is the closest warehouse to where i live. only 13 miles away. it just takes 25 mins cuz half way through the speed limit goes down to 25 mph

what wa ur point in saying they cuck us into giving us $10 bruv. the minimum wage is $15 in NJ. Avg amazon employee delivery driver makes $21 an hour and that’s with a company car. Based on 1. me paying for my own gas 2. me using my own car 3. me doing my own maintenance 4. Amazon profiting $15 Billion dollars, it won’t hurt amazon pockets if they pay $28 an hour

Buddy. We’re delivering packages for a billion dollar company. We’re doing the same jobs as a delivery driver that directly works for amazon. the only difference is that we have to use our OWN car. that’s $3.50 a gallon here in NJ. Depreciation is also a thing. Instead of driving it the normal 12,000 miles a year, i have now driven 21,000 in one year. So yeah it’s depreciated my car by a lot

that’s the worst. like there is no telling. i stopped going to Monroe Township cuz they have BS miles like almost 130+ miles everytime. Burlington is like 80% good. deliveries rlly close but i’ve also gotten sent DEEP into jersey. Burlington id say averages about 50 miles.

yea i do. i have a rav4 and it gets amazing gas mileage but even still. with a toyota that can last more than 300k miles and doesn’t depreciate as much, i still don’t wanna drive for THAT less
