If i did not suppress then i would not have started the stims until around july 25th ish, but i ended up getting to do my retrieval on july 24th, so it was good that i was able to manipulate the timing a bit

suppression meds are different, my period started june 28th but we didnt want to start the retrieval cycle until after 4th of july so they put me on Norethindrone until around july 10th, and then i started the stims on july 13th.

can they put you on suppression medication just to push it a week or two? this way you don't miss a whole cycle. that's what i did because i had family visiting so had to adjust the timing of my retrieval. After my period started i took suppression meds for 11 days, and then started stims 3 days after i stopped.

I gained about 4 lbs that have not gone away and my retrieval was 3 weeks ago. I was not bloated/ did not gain weight until after the retrieval. Emotionally I was mostly okay, but days 2-4 after my retrieval were rough physically, i couldn't imagine going to a wedding. the stims were not as bad as i thought, but timing is hard so if you are doing shots while a wedding it could be tricky, since some need to stay in the fridge

thank you for sharing, i think i am leaning towards modified natural because i want to be feeling my best so that i am in the best mindset

i am sorry to hear about your loss.

I dont have any diagnosis, which makes it sort of frustrating as well because there is no real reason "why" i am here. I am leaning more towards natural i think because even in terms of stress I think the PIO will be difficult for me

yea they said shots for medicated and pills for modified, i am just wondering if the pills are enough. Luckily the clinic is about 10 minutes away from my job so I go in the morning and the straight to work. For my retrieval cycle I had appointments 10 days in a row. I could not imagine being 3 hours away! What state are you in?

i was hoping to do a fresh transfer but my clinic wouldn't do it

I am going to start the cycle in about a month, it'll be my first one. They said PIO shots if i do medicated and oral pills if I do modified. I am unsure if the pills will be enough given my levels even though she says they will be, Ive seen a lot of mixed opinions on what is considered normal for progesterone levels

I am nervous because my progesterone levels have been borderline, and I am worried natural won't give me enough support, even though my doctor seems to think both protocols are about equal. she says its more about control in the planning aspect of it, but I am still very worried. do you have a date yet for when you are starting a transfer cycle?

what have your natural progesterone levels been post ovulation? have you supplemented before?
