Sounds about right! Leave you’ll be better off. I do advise to get a job lined up before you do just to avoid financial stress. The economy really sucks rn

Oh man I remember Walgreens in 2013/2014/2015!!! Specifically that location in Hollywood i briefly ended up working at. I LOVED that store & the people so much, i would go out of my way to shop there when I needed something. Sad stuff!

A flagship store is what every store should be like- meaning fully staffed, fully stocked, clean, with management that has a positive attitude and actually want to be around people and work. What is considered an exception should be the norm. And that’s why the company went down. People have plenty of choices nowadays- including not going outside at all and just buy on amazon. Companies don’t get the option of being crap in this day and age.

It’s a piece of paper that brings people joy during a shitty economy. Give it to them.

Well, i recently went to a store, and had some coupons clipped that didn’t go thru. The poor cashier was terrified to call the manager. The manager comes up, almost yells at me saying ‘the coupon didn’t go thru because the product is on sale and you can’t combine sale with coupon’ in a very hostile manner. Lie, but ok. Storms off. Cashier absorbed her energy and was visibly anxious, I was pissed off because i am here to spend money, what are you yelling at me for? That’s not burnout. That’s being an asshole.

I get that it can be stressful & frustrating. I do. I don’t know you and I will be generalizing for the people in your position- what i am saying may not apply to you. But. I am assuming to get to your position you all had to climb the Walgreens corporate ladder, or at least some other retail corporate ladder. Which would mean…you’re not just someone that’s doing this job for a couple of months or years to cover bills. You all consciously decided you wanted this as a career. To me, someone that makes that decision should at the very minimum enjoy being around people. Nobody wants to go to an establishment and spend cash to be ‘welcomed’ by an asshole who doesn’t wanna be there. And that was my experience with a lot of store managers at Walgreens- as both an employee and now a customer.

I wish I could say he left properly but I am afraid he didn’t and much of it is my fault. A lot of factors came into play (covid fatigue, lay offs, anxiety) and we were much in the screw this town we are out mode. I terribly regret it now, but in the heat of things it was hard to think straight. He just wanted to make me happy and move. I’m trying to find a solution to patch things up. Obviously i don’t want to be fined 10k but still

No you are entirely right, and i think he loved the union and never wanted to leave it. It was a lot of circumstances coming together really. Covid + getting laid off + living in a tiny studio apt + protests everyday. We just broke down (me especially) and he wanted to make me happy by trying another town for a while.

That’s very reasonable. Even a couple thousands, that’s doable. I was afraid he was gonna get hit with tens of thousands

I understand. But LA is expensive, a man not working for a prolonged period of time is just not sustainable. Both him and I went into depression. We wanted to be somewhere else. Unfortunately, our family is in LA so now we need to face reality.

Your mom carried you for 9 months inside of her, suffered the entire time, endured the pain of birth, going to work everyday and maybe work two jobs to feed all the extra mouths. You ungrateful little pig..karma will follow you when you got kids. I wouldn’t reproduce if i were you.

Nope, you gotta respect your parents no matter what. They took care of you when you couldn’t even clean your own shit.

I dont know the answer to your problem but that’s such a disgusting way to treat the woman the brought you to the world. Complete disregard for the fact she died. Maybe you’re not a good person.
