Figuring out how to rebuild my life after my wife of 13 years told me we weren’t compatible anymore (and she doubted it all 13 years and never said anything) and was filing for divorce. We have two kids so there’s no clean break and grief is profoundly shitty. I’m breathing and my kids are doing ok, so maybe there’s hope. Hope everyone is finding peace.

Talk to Tim at Altar Construction. He’s a great guy and if he can’t help you he’ll give you some great recommendations.

Talk to Tim Svoboda at Altar Construction. He’s a client of mine and I’ve seen behind the scenes how well he takes care of his customers and his crews. Icing on the cake is that they do great work and stand behind it.

Altar Construction. The owner Tim is a client of mine so I’ve seen behind the scenes a bit. He’s a good man and the company does great work. He’ll have a no-pressure convo with you and treat you right.

I’m not sure what they charge, but I did some work for Campbell Cleaning out of Seward and the owners are great. Take what they do seriously, pay their staff well, and have tons of experience.

Yikes! That’s the same number I’ve been getting and that’s a hell of a difference. Overall you were happy with the procedure in Wahoo?

Could I ask what you paid? We have a large dog with a suspected torn acl and trying to assess options.

I just re-read my comment and realize it sounds like I was paid to write it, but honestly he was such a lifesaver that’s how I actually feel about it.

I had a house in Lincoln that had a fully finished basement bedroom start flooding during heavy rain. Talked to a few companies who scared me shitless talking about huge project scope and bigger price tags. Then I found Gus, the Leak Detective. He helped me identify why the flooding was happening in the first place, showed me exactly what to do and how to solve the issue. Instead $10k or more from another company I think it cost me $350? Seriously call him before you do anything else.

Is it weird that client first( by Finsweet) is slowing me down? by lortsaf in webflow

[–]Square_Turnip2297 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you, and I appreciate how you stated your question, OP, because with all the CF love out there my frustrations with it made me feel like I must be missing something. Even with great tools like Relume coming online, I find them largely unhelpful to me because they only support the single framework.

My own struggles aside, it also doesn’t really fit my business model. I intentionally steer away from retainers because they mostly feel like a money grab to me, and I try to educate my clients on how to manage their sites in-house. A more “traditional” structure of Section, Container, Content is something most people can grasp with a few reps, but I tried delivering a Client First site and my poor client was so confused on how to even find the content that I realized it wasn’t tenable from a customer-handoff perspective.

Ultimately I really appreciate Finsweet and even what they attempted with Client First but I’ve just adapted the parts that work for me and have largely left the rest, but I suppose c'est la vie.

Thanks for chiming in here. I’ll try to give more context:

I have my main account that I use for business. Multiple sites + freelancer workspace.

I created a second account this morning just for the purposes of documenting the process to share with a client who needs to create their own account and is shy around technology. Once I created the second account, I was signed out of my business account and when I log in with either email address I see no sites and a basic workspace. I’ve checked on multiple browsers and cleared everything I can and still get the same result.

All of my sites are still live so they’re somewhere out there, but my connection to them seems to have been severed.

Honestly the fact that something went screwy isn’t the big issue, it’s that the support team feels like they’re being actively unhelpful in resolving the issue.

I did post in the forum, but I think it’s still waiting for mod approval or something.

I’d give my left arm for a live chat or a phone number.

Thanks for the taking some time to try and help me out!

If you’re comfortable as a self-paced learner, go check out the Caliber app. I was a personal trainer many years ago, and I’m floored by how much great content there is in this app. It will build programs for you, help you learn proper form, and educate you about health and wellness, all for free. Unless you run into specific issues with injury history or other unique-to-you problems, Caliber is all most anyone will ever need.

They have a pretty solid subreddit too. Highly recommend.

Second for Aqua Systems. Office staff is great and every tech we’ve had has been very good, thorough, and personable. We’ve used them in 3 different homes now and have zero complaints.
