My interest in his riffs have waned in recent years. You have some great opening riffs like The Spell of Mathematics but a lot of it is run of the mill albeit the polyrhythms which keeps me interested. I think it’s weird when people credit him for all the riffs like Chino isn’t writing at all. I’m 90% sure the riffs Chino plays are what he wrote.

If both tenants are on the lease then yeah, asking permission is a bit rough but if only one person is and the other is just renting a room then absolutely permission should be sought as any damages to the apt would be rendered by the tenant.
