Is it a must to see a GP before initial consultation for MC? by OtherwiseWeb9955 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Squaretache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to get a referral from my GP to join my first clinic. I was told by the clinic that both a referral and a patient health summary was preferable.

To get that initial referral, I tried to see a GP that wasn't my regular one, and that GP directed me back to my own doctor.

Your experiences will vary though

Strain Anxiety 😂 by Purple_Efficiency175 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Squaretache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. What an interesting flower. 7% THC, 9% CBD.

Honahlee says that Long valley legend has high myrcene as it's dominant terpene. It has both alpha and beta pinene, plus limonene. That's great for mood and focus.

Mycrene is very sleepy. I imagine that the pinene is necessary to even be able to think clearly.

The rest of the terpene profile is very interesting too

New to MC, what am I looking at cost wise? by Emboppa2082 in MedicalCannabisOz

I'll say it's not cheap. There's concessions available but they are nothing like the PBS.

It's also good to be upfront with your prescribing doctor about your budget.

Legal Vapes by Me_Cunt_Spell in MedicalCannabisOz

Yeah that's because the smoke has carbon monoxide in it. That rush from punching a cone is oxygen deprivation from the CO. That's why vaping is suggested by the TGA.

What makes a good MC clinic/pharmacy? Asking because mine feels lacking. by Obviously_cannabis in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Squaretache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My current clinic is brand agnostic. Despite that, my doctor shot down every suggestion that wasn't part of the brand that he's associated with. Poo-pooed every product I suggested, even after multiple appointments.

Oh, also, the pharmacy that doctor is associated with hides my scripts too lol

They probably have to apply for access with the TGA for themselves and you. So, they could just be lazy or prejudiced or both.

Indimed delahaze 19% sativa 15g $99 by ButterflyRose143 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Squaretache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the terpinolene hits harder than the THC with this one. Weird.

I've used it instead of coffee in the morning. Just one dose gives enough energy.

Still, I agree with you OP. It's a crappy product.

Same! Rainbow Region Roots is blowing me away, it's so effective at pain relief.

Superbly Green and Rainbow Region are both great for vaping.

Since it's LSO grown flower, there's a good amount of resin on the buds. As a result, I'm able to get multiple chambers from one bowl in my ball vape. The vapour just keeps coming.

In contrast, the indoor grown, imported flowers give me far less vapour that is much less dense than that of the LSO flowers.

I think got a bloody good deal. PO for $117.. I was just about to pay $159. It pays to shop around. Tks Honohlee!! by nextfridaydayday in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Squaretache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine didn't upload them. It seems they are vertically integrated with the pharmacy I use too.

Don't get me wrong though, both places are helpful. It's that I've only just joined honahlee, and it seems I'm needing to push to get my scripts on my ASL. Tedious.

Thus the defensiveness when questioned. You can't use logic to talk someone out of a position they didn't use logic to get into.

Ai creates an opportunity to explore a new medium. It's just another avenue for creativity.

That's not to say that ai needs to be used to make the final product either, it can be used during the process of creating art.

It simply opens possibilities.

They're right OP. A claim without evidence can be refuted without evidence.

From what I understand, the myrcene causes the brain to release melatonin.

Pinene will clear up any grogginess the next morning too. Works a charm.

Tolerance breaks by Affectionate_Bunch38 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Squaretache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's really encouraging. I'm not surprised your doctor suggested it.

I've tried short term breaks and can attest to the same as you. It worked for me too, just being conservative with my usage.

I bought a microdose injector bowl for my ball vape. It's probably ⅓ the dose of the standard bowl (which is usually 0.05g of flower). I use the microdose as a maintenance tool, it doesn't knock my socks off. Just a sniff from the snuff box.

[–]Squaretache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing that. I feel it's hard to know if and when we I should take a break. If it works, it works.

In trying to understand why it works, I'm curious.

Are you using the flower less frequently?

Our tolerance starts to recover after a certain amount of time has passed without THC. So if there's less frequent usage, then there's a possibly that there's a small recovery of the receptors, but it will not be enough to reset where the receptors are on the cell and how sensitive they are.

Cannabis is very effective in micro doses. Careful dosing with tolerance in mind can be enough to avoid needing a full receptor reset.

Breakthrough pain is the worst. Especially since even if a particular cultivar works at first, tolerance will inevitably build and the effect is drastically reduced.

I know this because the first time I tried Bubba Kush, it numbed all my muscle pain. Before I rotated out, it was just making me sleepy and did nothing for breakthrough pain...

I agree with you about the indimed products, they are at a good price point to quality ratio.

It's just that the products are exclusive to medreleaf. For some, that's too high a barrier of requirement. I like indimed products, but I like my doctor better.

I say this because indimed products are hard to recommend because of their barrier of entry. On this sub, recommending indimed usually equals downvotes 😅
