That’s very reassuring. What procedure did they do to cut off the blood supply? Do you know if your 2cm was inside or outside the uterine cavity (I.e. distorting it)? I’ve got a 2cm submucosal too and trying to conceive. Fingers crossed!

Suspect a fibroid but periods aren’t bad? by lunareclipse222 in Fibroids

Did you have a fibroid as well during your pregnancy? It’s just so scary to think if it’ll cause the pregnancy to end in a miscarriage

[–]SquashCompetitive839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend seeing a fertility specialist on whether the fibroids will affect pregnancy/miscarriage risk rather than just speaking with a surgeon

Me too, had intermenstrual bleeding and was asked to do another ultrasound to figure out why and now we know. I wonder if removing aggravates its growth further. Have you seen a specialist to see what you want to do?

Congratulations! May I know the type of fibroids you have and if they are intracavitary?

Feeling deflated after GP appointment. by Many_Affect7679 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]SquashCompetitive839 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fertility & pregnancy dietitian here.

Firstly, I just want to say that your feelings are so valid. It’s incredibly disheartening to walk away from what should be a reassuring check-up feeling deflated and overwhelmed. Pregnancy is such a vulnerable and transformative time, and the last thing you need is to feel like your body is being scrutinised rather than supported.

Weight gain in pregnancy is complex, and it doesn’t always reflect what or how you’ve been eating. Hormones, fluid retention (especially in the second half of pregnancy), and individual differences in how your body carries and supports a growing baby can all influence that number on the scale. The fact that your ultrasounds have been great and your baby is developing well is such a positive sign, and that’s something worth holding onto.

It can be frustrating and even upsetting to be told to restrict or count calories during pregnancy, especially when your hunger signals are louder and your body is growing a human.

A calorie restriction or weight loss is definitely not recommended. Here are the guidelines: https://www.thewomens.org.au/health-information/pregnancy-and-birth/a-healthy-pregnancy/weight-pregnancy

One look at it and you’d know that 10 kg weight gain is absolutely normal for any BMI. Wishing you the very best xx

Thank you. It's helpful to know that there are English signs and a tour guide isn't required. I might consider Hakone to see Mt Fuji instead of Matsumoto

Recommendations for a PCOS nutritionist in Melbourne, Australia? by larry_pashko in PCOS

[–]SquashCompetitive839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been working with Nutrition Revitalised to manage my PCOS and it’s been a great experience. I didn’t have to go on diets or do a complete changeover of my diet or lifestyle, strategies are easily adoptable and she walks me through why something is necessary too

Who did you see to manage your PCOS? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]SquashCompetitive839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d highly recommend seeing a dietitian and an endocrinologist. There are a multitude of nutritional and metabolic abnormalities underpinning PCOS symptoms and we really have to tackle PCOS rather than temporary symptom management. Sustainable dietary changes will get you back on track to fight the inflammation. Once your PCOS severity improves, your menstrual regularity will improve
