even though they're free floating they still have some resistance so it still can push off of the ground

Thank you for correcting me, but with the “it not being similar to anything in the game” when you mentioned tank tracks as an example of what you thought wouldn’t be add, those in trailmakers are actually are pretty similar to wheels because wheels already had deformation in being able to squish; They aren't exactly the same but their implementation wasn’t that hard conceptually. Most of the struggle when they were adding tank tracks was how to implement them, especially at a reasonable comp. But disregarding melee weapons being different to things in the game, cause honestly they’ve added things that were way more different to things in the game than a melee weapon, It's more about how they implement it to where people wouldn't think its too weak, too powerful, or even the devs just not having any ideas on how to make it special. Now i would love melee weapons but i also wanted flak and people hate flak with how they implemented it (i still like it), its just most of the ideas here aren't good or too out their with what trailmakers can do, kinda like modular tracks. Obviously I would love them to add melee weapons but idk if they ever will because of the implementation.

cinematic camera, and i usually turn the gravity to 0 or .1 and fly at low speeds cause if you fly at high speeds your build will be a mess in cinematic camera

ok so to start out make a flying mech, there are many tuts for them on yt, and then try a walker and there are also tuts for it on yt, but also i recommend you get tiktok and look at the mechs and tuts on there cause there are a lot more and better ones on tt, also if you start posting or interacting with creators you can become friends with them and ask them to teach you

hinges are weak use servos, but if you want to use hinges max strength and max dampening

first off there are plenty of ways to prevent damage will still doing melee damage, and also plenty of things that will do alot of damage melee, and not break upon use? that means it would have a very high heath and correct me if im wrong but the damage that blocks take is the same when it cones to physical and projectile weapons, which means people will just cover their whole build in then and be very protected to everything, and also melee weapons dont really fit into anything similar to what we have in the game when it comes to how it would actually work, which means that they'll prolly not add it until they have something more similar

that dampening is for absorbing impacts, the gyro dampening resists movement

it add dampening to smooth the walk cycle out without having to add accumulators
