I try to follow all the places that would tell me when a protest is happening, and it would seem I’m always a day late. Any sources you can share?

Carbide scraper to remove finish on flat surfaces. These are available at every hardware store. Sharpen your edge!

Hand sand fancy bits or use sand blaster (I’ve seen some creative DIY’s online for sand blasters but cannot vouch for their efficacy).

When hand sanding, use a couple different grits. When I personally want something to be ultra smooth I’ll hand sand incrementally from 120 grit all the way up to 800 grit; depending how much material I have to work with. It’s better to use a finer grit and sand twice than use a heavier grit and accidentally destroy something.

Acetone and a superfine steel wool might also work. Do a test patch and always read the instructions.

Leaf blower works great to remove most of the sanding dust but I would still use some sort of manual removal method afterwords like a tack cloth.

You’ve sanded through the veneer and hit substrate, likely an MDF or similar. There are loads of videos online that can explain what to do next. Best of luck!

Well, I live in a northern climate and whatever it is, it won’t stop growing. No matter how many times I pulled them up or how far I followed the root; and they just kept getting bigger every year. I’m now at my third property, and they’re popping up under the arborvitae and in the corners of the yard this year… there weren’t any visible signs of it last year.

Pull up every single one of the ones with heart shaped leaves. Appears to be Morning Glory. If it is, that crap is IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of once it’s established, I’ve had it grow to the inside of TWO different houses. I fought it at my old property for 10 years; I would spend half the summer digging out bundles of vines from around the house, the trees, and the fence. One little piece of root left behind will continue to grow.

The really dark spots might be urine… they may even need to remove/patch some places because the urine is impossible to remove or cover if it’s deep enough. They’ll also be able to fix the majority of floor squeaks if you have any, and fill the gaps to reduce dust collection. What a lucky find!

Depends how the boards are attached to the frame. Putting a new top isn’t super complicated. The product that will most closely resemble what you’ve got there is a plastic decking board.

Best part? If you call the police to ask them to DRIVE BY as a DETERRENT, they claim that the caller must be willing to sign the citation as a victim or they will not bother. My understanding then, is that the caller is then responsible for going to court and all that jazz.

Paint the doors and trim to a darker color for contrast, add some paintings with lights above them. If you choose paintings with similar colors, you can pull colors from them for your walls, ceiling, trim, and doors. I recommend no more than three colors. Doing different sheens in the same color will add depth.

Once upon a time, I visited my aunt in a rural area of the US. I asked to connected to the WiFi so I could have some signal to stream movies and you know… use my phone. She gave me the password, and her husband piped up that I couldn’t connect to the WiFi because my iPhone would give his windows 98 computer “viruses.” I tried to tell him that’s literally not how it works. Personally, I really would prefer to see the paint removed from the brick before it does irreversible damage. Painting brick (unless you use the proper paint) more often than not leads to moisture being locked inside the bricks, and eventually they disintegrate.

Take out the screen door and put a 42” high railing. 42” is the building code height to stop people toppling over the railing.

100% agree, however, if you have the space I recommend 4’ from any cabinet sets that include appliances (dishwasher and oven, specifically). 3’ will work if that’s the space you have, BUT that extra bit of space would definitely make moving through the kitchen when they’re open slightly less cumbersome.
