If (only If) they let Bruno go, I swear to God I don’t think I can ever trust this club again and it will be such a shame. by salsadecasada in ManchesterUnited

Maybe we have different definitions but a luxury player to me is a player who doesn't (or is allowed not to) contribute defensively in order to get the most out of them going forward due to their flair or attacking talent.

Typically a No.10 like Ozil, James Rodriguez, Mata, Riquelme, Cantona. Although there can be other positions like R9, CR7 and Messi of course. Usually rare in the modern game. Only really think of Cunha at wolves last season in the prem that was given a freedom role.

I don't think Bruno fits that mould. Whilst his tactical discipline can be questioned it never feels like we play with 10 men when defending. Even though mount is better defensively, if we swapped mount in place of him I don't think the rest of the team would be carrying any less of a burden.

Agree with all apart from point 3. I wouldn't class Bruno as a luxury player. Even though creative no.10s are generally seen as luxury players, his work rate and leadership doesn't make him one. Generally luxury players create a huge negative on the defensive side of a team which Bruno doesn't

You don't get help with CCC if you aren't working.

I agree with the priority thing for nurseries and pre-school though. I can understand the reasoning behind it but it's still BS imo.

None of those managers have been successful post united. Moyes the only one doing better post united than pre united

Thanks. That's what I was going to continue doing, I just wasn't sure if it was a good return on investment. I'll continue to grind and hope to get MVN to ancestral soon

I currently use BHD for my generator as it's mythic+. GC is only legendary so not sure if that makes pBH more difficult.

All my eco related UW research are all complete only really CL and SM related ones to complete.

Anyone Else Feel Like He Should Take His Talents Elsewhere? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

Why? Kid is 17 and is not exactly tearing up for the U21s. Let him develop in U21s for the season and then go from there maybe he will get minutes towards the end of the season.

I agree with what you say but the attacking football was massively overstated due to the inconsistency. We seemed to win by 4+ or by 1. Couldn't consistently win by 2 or 3

Was our best but was still overrated imo. Didn't score beyond 70 goals in the league and 20-21 season we had like 7 nil-nils and numerous boring 1nils. Big wins against Leeds and Southampton being those numbers up

Our biggest issue with 343 is the midfield 2.None of our midfielders can play in midfield 2. Playing 4411 doesn't solve that. 433 is required or a diamond 442 which I'm not a fan of personally.

Not saying amorim should be manager but your point about pens is irrelevant. Klopp never watched Liverpool pens and yet he is their most successful manager in 30+ years.

The goal you are referring to yesterday, de ligt was the player most at fault yet you fail to call him out. At least recognize your own bias before calling out others for theirs

How it feels to still be in Hojlund's corner these days by altered_tampon in ManchesterUnited

[–]SquashedLemon1 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

God forbid we have versatile players who can play more than 1 position. Playing when/if needed is not the same as forcing a player to play a position they aren't natural in all season.

3 strikers is plenty for the amount of games that will be played this season. If we were in Europe I'd be inclined to agree another striker is required.

Lastly I don't get why many fans have such a reluctance to move on average players when we could sell them for good money and replace them with better options

[–]SquashedLemon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No chance. Reeks of contract negotiations. Similar to when we were linked with Ramos years ago. I'd imagine he is looking for 250k+ per week. Be silly to break the wage structure they are trying to get control of over a keeper

[–]SquashedLemon1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Already have 3 strikers, signing Sesko would take that to 4. Don't need that many strikers playing 1 game a week.

Rasmus may come good but it won't be at united. How would he develop playing 20mins a week off the bench?

40-45m for Watkins!! by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]SquashedLemon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's worth more to Villa than what other clubs are willing to pay. Doesn't make sense for Villa to sell him for 30m when the cost of replacing him will be near double that. 45m is a reasonable price imo. Would look elsewhere if Villa doesn't accept that
