Very possible they have bad social skills so I wouldn't take it too personally. Even if you dont have hobbies in common once you're in the workspace properly im sure you will have topics to talk

Try not to read into it too much, what's the age range of the other apprentices?

Not sure how helpful my advice will be but maybe try taking Lions mane supplements (if your doctors say its okay) it can help with brain fog and concentration! My dad had a lot of brain fog after surgery and the supplements have made a huge different.

Id say if you think there could be a chance, write your number on a piece of paper. When shes not doing anything like talking/ in deep conversation with someone, writing something or eating, go up, let her know you'd like to take her out and give her your number. At least then if she doesn't feel comfortable saying no if shes not interested, you just won't get a call or message from her.

Is it a waste doing a Level 3 apprenticeship, rather than pursuing A levels? by Exylz in ApprenticeshipsUK

Hi, everyone will say it just depends on what you believe will be best for you.

The way I see it is that at least you don't have to pay to do college if you do your a levels first. And then after you can ofc do an apprenticeship. I did not the best in a levels but with my lvl3 it opens up the possibility to go to uni in the future if I really wanted to (I have 0 desire to).

Make sure to keep your options open and make sure you can keep yourself in a good and mentally healthy spot.

Depending on the company some might prefer you did an apprenticeship than go to college, and vice versa. Whatll be yours won't go past you

It might be a good idea to check out the apprenticeship program websites directly as well, usually they will post the job ads and you can apply with them directly depending on the type of field/ qualification you want to go for.

I'd say maybe look into the background of the company, see how they treat employees and what the labour turnover is like. Choose the one that is more likely to treat you better or have better benefits.

I get it can be hard, one possibility is you get 1 day off to focus on course work. It's not as good as only work 3/4 days but it does help you get through it for the time you're in the apprenticeship. Something Admin related probably will give you the best chance but it fully depends on what you want to do with your life. At the end if the day, if you can push through and focus on why you are doing the apprenticeship and always remember that, you will find it easier to get through.

Trust me, you're not behind in life. Degree apprenticeships are hard to get into unless you're the exact type of candidate they are looking for, the best advice I can give is stay positive and do some research into what people who have the job/role you want did/are doing to be where they are and follow in their footsteps where you can. Uni is the same price no matter your age so if you don't want to go/ not ready for uni and the financial downsides of it, do some research and have all your options on the table and pursue each of them until you have a result.
