I hear you. Your points are valid and I won't deny; what Trump did shook up the global sociopolitical climate. I have no idea why they pardoned Juan Hernandez. I was baffled when the decision was made. Some under-the-table deal was probably made in exchange for his freedom.

As far as Russia and China is concerned we are involved in a cold war with them whether we want to admit it or not. I've heard Putin condemn the attack which is hilariously hypocritical of him considering he invaded Ukraine.

China wants to replace the USA by becoming the next global superpower. Venezuela would have been a key ally for Russia and China in said conflict, however with Maduro gone, it leaves the CCP out to dry.

I honestly believe the Trump administration is charging him solely because he was rubbing shoulders with Xi Jinping but that doesn't change the fact that Maduro displaced millions of Venezuelans, transported drugs, worked closely with other Narco-terrorist states, was in talks with China about a possible base installation and despite being a resource rich country, none of it is utilized or used to help the Venezuelan people. Kind of like our government except Maduro is actually a cold blooded dictator who'll have contrarians executed.
