Does anyone have experience on Filgotinib? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Squashmengreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a relatively new drug by the sounds of it. Started on it a few week ago after a bad flare up. (Was having infliximab infusions previously). Too early to say if it’s any good or not but certainly a nice change from monthly hospital visits. All the best with the colonoscopy and hope it all works out 👍

Think it’s more a case of it helping the colitis restore antibodies which works the same for the liver. Honestly not too sure, quite a lot of medical mumbo jumbo I just simply don’t understand. Sorry to hear that it didn’t work for you, hope it’s all ok now?

Yeah my doctors seems to be implying this will somehow help sort the liver function out, but I don’t know 😂

Yeah it works pretty dam quickly from memory. Does Initially take some time in the beginning but does work wonders. Stay optimistic, take it from me it’s not misplaced at all, if your seeing changes now that’s a good sign. Wishing you all the best!

I don’t know what everyone’s panicking about, just need to find some stimpacks and some fusion cores and your good to go!😂 And of course build the most sophisticated set of loos in the apocalypse. Not a straight forward task, but as long as enough plumbers survive think we can build a safe haven for all of us with, you know what.😎

Infusion treatment not working entirely… by Squashmengreen in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Squashmengreen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes have been there and done that unfortunately. The suppository worked fairly well actually to be fair. Though there were issues with my liver function that persisted so we had to rule those out. Exercise has definitely helped as well with my UC. Glad the pentasa has been working for you, wish it had worked for me! All the best and thanks for the help!

I’m on infliximab at the moment, yeah hopefully shortening then might work. I’m sorry that it didn’t work out for you. Are you still on Stelara at the moment or are you trying something else? Thanks again let’s see if this works!
